There's a bunch of different apps you can use to download vids from YT.

I know but the program I use to make avvys will only open certain file types, none of which are saving options with those apps.

I just remembered how I did it in the past so I can start making more people's avvy dreams come true

Downloadhelper is the addon I use to rip Youtube (or any flash) videos. You can rip it to mp4 as well as flv file types.
