Well, of course. Even before the show came about I always knew that whoever played Serena would get more attention because she would be blonder and prettier - regardless of acting abilities. That's Hollywood.

I'm reserving judgment though. I just hope she isn't another Mary Jane (Kirsten Dunst).

I don't watch Gossip Girl but I caught a few minutes of an episode, and the other Gossip Girl (opposite Blake) is actually much cuter and more stylish. And yet, Blake gets all the attention. It's kinda strange. It's not like the other girl is ugly.

The Blair character is played off more comedically and broader, but she doesn't come off as drop dead attractive like the Blake character is supposed to be.

But Meester has taken some career mistakes. Rather than pursue acting the way Lively has, she's decided to pull the "pop star" thing. It never works either.

While I agree that Leighton Meester (Blair) is more stylish, I have to admit that post-nose job Blake Lively is prettier. PLUS Hollywood loves blonds.

yea what actress these days havent had some cosmetic enhancements. nothing is wrong with it unless it goes bad or they do to much.

i think that people forget that surgeries can be a positive thing (thats not to say blake ever looked bad)....its just that people use and abuse them in wrong ways....

Absolutely. Even though I think that it would be ideal if people would just accept how they looked, cosmetic surgery can sometimes be positive. What I can't stand, though, are celebrities that get cosmetic surgery and then try to pretend that they always looked like that *cough*KimKardashian*cough*

Anyhoo, I hope Blake Lively does a good job. HUGE step up from Gossip Girl.

I wasn't aware that Lively had plastic surgery; she has always look pretty attractive imo. But even if she did, it's not a big deal (it's not like she went overboard like Heidi Montag did). I hope GL will be a big break for her because despite GG, she does have some talents.

It's doubtful that she had breast enhancements. I read an article where a plastic surgeon denied that she had them done since she look that way when she was a teen. The did admit that her nose looked like it was touched up a bit though.

i don't mind if the plastic surgery isn't obvious and actually improves the actress (despite the superficial nature of the biz). IE Keira Knightley and even Kristen Wiig.
