My only worry was she'll look a little young in comparison to Ryan Reynolds but I trust the filmmakers to make her look older.

to me Ryan looks like he's in his late 20s; if not, he doesn't look any older than Chris Pine or Chris Evans.

PLus, she does have a fairly mature look.

yea with what she said they probably did decide to go the wig route for her. So she could keep her blonde hair. hopefully we will score a photo soon of blake from any location shooting, or just hanging around new orleans. the cast has to be hitting some hot spots of the city when not filming.

that bit was posted on the other page, and yea i would perfer her to have dyed her hair for the role. Since she is on hiatus from her tv show. But hey if she didnt. With the right wigs it can look great. Hopefully we will get a shot of blake one of these days on set.

Has she filmed yet? Maybe we haven't gotten anything because people don't recognize her in her wig hopefully?

if i'm not mistaken, she started last week at the bar, with Ryan.

Wonder if the quote means she's not into playing Star Sapphire at all, or if she's not into playing Star Sapphire in the suit they have in the comics.

Fanboys were saying they didn't want her to turn into SS anyways, so whatever. She's aware of the character obviously, but turning her into a semi-villain would give her some depth.

Honestly, a pink costume would look stupid in live action. Not everything from comics translates well.

I for one would like to see the pink bodysuit. What about you guys? :hehe:

I disagree that pink would look awful onscreen, it's just a matter of how they design it for the movie.

I advocate for this one:

:woot:

There is no way that the bodysuit is ever going to be in a green Lantern film without a serious and well thought out redesign to it. Thats pretty obvious.

Forget what I said. Blake would look damn good in that, so I guess it wouldn't be so bad. :cwink: :woot:

I saw an inverted suit, a fan art piece, where the pink was made black and the bare midsection was made pink to look like the GL suit. I actually liked that one best

In some of the more recent GL titles, the Star Sapphire energy has manifested itself with crystal-like constructs, and their power source is contained within a large pink crystal. I think if they took this concept and ran with it for the SS costume, it would look very cool and unique on the big screen. Imagine the costume as pink crystals growing off of Lively's body, like one of those little crystal growing kits from elementary school science class. It would look beautiful, other-worldly, and hopefully kinda threatening if the crystal's are sculpted nice and sharp (she is a villain after all). Just a thought.

yea i doubt we will see star show up in the first film when we got hector, start up sinestro's downfall, and the possiblity that legion might still be around. Star is likely going to be a threat they want to cover in sequel or 3rd film. As for costume yea i doubt they would take what the comics look has and translate that to live action. As most fans would love to see blake or any hot girl in an outfit like that. They would probably more it a bit more tasteful.
