The Official Fantasy Football advice thread. - Part 1

TE: Benjamine watson or Jeff King

Need to pick 3 WR:
Bowe
Julio Jones
Emmanuel Sanders
Driver
Bess
Knox

pretty sure i'm going with the first two, so basically looking for my 3rd option

Holy Shiz guys, I need some serious help here.

The League has a 2 RB / 2 WR & a W/R slot. So how in the HELL do I pull this?

RB: Maurice Jones Drew, Ray Rice, Michael Turner

WR: Greg Jennings, Julio Jones, Calvin Johnson

Problem is, my Starting Lineup look like this:

RB: Ray Rice, Michael Turner

WR: Greg Jennings, Julio Jones

W/R: Calvin Johnson

Bench: MJD

WHO do I move to get MJD in there with him facing the Colts or do I just leave it as is?

If you had to sub out a RB I'd say Turner. Atlanta may throw more than they run since they're playing the Saints. But when they do run, Turner's going to get the ball. But MJD should put up good numbers against the Colts

I think either is a good choice.

Matt Stafford or Matt Ryan?

I have Mike Tolbert, Ben Tate, LeGarrette Blount, and Darren Sproles available this week, which two should I start?

Yeah, I just didn't want to bench Turner but at the same time I'm not going to bench Megatron or Jennings either.

Can't decide if I should start Jacoby Ford, Antonio Brown, Anquan Boldin, or Plaxico in my WR2 for this week. Damn you Darren Sproles for taking my W/R spot! :argh:

Lions are playing against Bears and Falcons are playing against Saints. I do think Bears have better defense than Saints', and Ryan is a more experienced QB than Stafford, so I'd take Matt Ryan this week.

Ravens are facing the Seahawks and Jets are facing Pats' lowly-ranked defense, so if I were you I'd start Boldin and Plaxico.

But I have Julio Jones as my WR1. I know he won't have week like he had last week, but a guy can dream!

Oh, and DeSean Jackson is on my bench and they're going up against the Cardinals.

I have DeSean Jackson on one of my teams, and I wasn't happy with his production against the Bears on MNF. Both Cardinals and Seahawks have pretty awful defenses, but in scenarios like this I'd compare the QB who will be throwing them the ball. Do you like Vick or Flacco more? I think the better QB will be able to make the pass to their WR on a more consistent basis.

Yeah and one thing that's made me keep Jackson on the bench for the past few weeks is that when Vick gets to throwing, more often the ball's going to Maclin.

All fandom aside, Boldin seems like the best pick considering Seattle's offense & the fact that Flacco always goes to him early & often.

My opinion, Yes Julio jones had a great game against a bad secondary but he's too inconsistent. Turner has been stellar and I can see the falcons wanted to pound the rock alittle more. I would go with that lineup, they are your best players available. Who is your QB and TE?

Phillip Rivers at QB & Jimmy Graham at TE.

Ya know what, you make an excellent point there about Julio. I hesitate to drop a red hot player but fact of the matter is they're all pretty much capable of a huge game.

your set then, if you loose then I quit fantasy football. I got rivers and graham too, now rivers got me 14 points last night but I also started m bush so I had a good night.

With the falcons one week it might be jones then white then gonzalez. If julio does it again for the next 2 weeks then Im a believer. The colts make anyone look great just ask the saints. I just cant believe how bad they suck without payton.

Meh, Rivers only got me 35 Points. It's terrible considering he usually reels in around 70.

Hopefully the rest of my team can pick up the slack.

Should I start Niners' defense or Eagles'? I can't decide.

True. Things is, the Eagles D has been their Achilles Heel for the entire season, & the Cards do have Wells, Doucet, & Fitz. Eli may very well be picked off against a damn tough Niners D that stuffs the run forcing him to throw & they have 10 INTs on the year already.

Eagles' D ended up with 13 pts to Niner's 4 pts. :csad: At least I still won the matchup thanks to Aaron Rodgers. :awesome:

I have a question: Should I pick up Frank Gore's backup as insurance? I think Gore will start, but I'm also concerned about his injury. Since Niners is a run-oriented team, even his backup may score alot of points if Gore doesn't play.
