.There's so many scenes in Batman Begins that are bad or as cheesy as GL, imo, like the "leverage" one. The costume looks terrible in it and it awfully edited too. Its just bad. Also, the "I wont kill you but i dont have to save you" makes no goddamn sense, imo.
So yeah, I thought this was as good as a GL movie as Batman Begins was for Batman or Spider-man 1 was for Spider-man.
The very clever Batman Begins plot was so dense and cleverly constructed, flipping threw the past and present until they merged near the end of Act2.
Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Liam Neeson Gary Oldman. Great acting overall by oscar winners adding so much weight to the source material.
Nothing in the very sloppy GL can hold a candle to a movie like BB. Its actually a simple unwavering scientific 'fact'.
People refer to BB when referring to a successful reboot.Perhaps boring next to TDK, perhaps the fighting should have been less shakeycam, but ultimately a very competent origin story of Batman.
The audience was sucked into BB the moment Liam Neeson stepped out of the shadow in the prison scene. The music provided great atmosphere and emotion to all the scenes. I have more soundtracks in my collection than other music, and my pianist friend has told me many times I can remember a tune better than him, but the Green Lantern soundtrack was extremely forgetful. Where was the score?
This movie should have been Superman the movie quality.
RT is a collection of minds that vary from snobby to popcorn loving. Though I don't always agree with them, they get the general result.
