News that a given game will not be arriving on a given release date is usually met with groans. But in this case, it's definitely good news.

The PlayStation Blog has revealed that the latest PS3 exclusive will be arriving a bit earlier than expected, with inFamous set to debut in North America on May 26. It had previously been slated for June.

Sony Computer Entertainment of America marketing manager Asad Qizilbash also described a few pre-order bonuses, as well as the demo date.

Pre-ordering will get you access to the demo on May 7, rather than May 21 like everybody else. As previously reported, bonuses will also include special Gigawatt Blades, which "supercharges Cole's arm into an instrument of destruction unmatched by any other melee weapon in game," and a Home costume.

Good move on their part in my opinion. June was looking to be a little full with big titles, May not so much. It is the end of May and all so it might still get affected by the June rush, but I still think this is in the best interest

It will most likely be up as DLC at some point but honestly it's nothing to fret about. It sounds crappy, it's suppose to be like a one hit kill kind of thing. In the end it's probably just a power that was left on the cutting room floor and GS was like, 'Hey, we need a pre-order bonus' and SuckerPunch/Sony picked it off the bottom of their shoes and just shrugged, 'Here ya go.'

Well, I really would bet that it'll show up at some point as DLC. I could see them having DLC to add/modify your superpowers down the road.

And it might be one of those bonuses that have a code, but the code isn't exclusive to the copy. I know in the new Prince Of Persia they had a similar bonus at GS (I believe it was a costume) and the code worked on any console

The gameplay looks sweet as hell! If it's a lengthy game and gets some good reviews I'm definitely getting it.

Excellent news! Sure its OPM, but they've been known to give other Sony games bad reviews (deservedly).

With Batman: AA delayed, Infamous is the only game I'm looking forward to this summer. So this review makes me happy!

YAY, I have my voucher for the DEMO, I'm downloading it as I type!!! If you didn't already know the Demo was released yesterday for those who preordered the game at Bestbuy and Gamecrazy!!!up: I preordered from Gamestop because I wanted the Gigawatt Blades, but since "I know some people, that know some people, that ROB some people," I gots teh hookups lol WOO HOO, ahem sorry!!!up:
