Playstation Home Official Thread

Update V1.35 is up and it rocks, MAJOR improvement of the interface and faster moving from space to space, excellent update, imo ofcourse!!!:o:oldrazz::awesome::up:
Home has an XMB! I love it. From the very beginning I thought that Home should be integrated into the XMB and that you should have the option to automatically go into it upon loading up your PS3. This is a good step forward. I love the look of it and it seems alot more organize

same here. I noticed that the download speeds were noticeably improved. It took seconds rather than minutes to download areas. Very cool interface Sony. It would be cool if the XMB got a similar look bc I feel some of the downloaded content can get a bit cluttered

Oh boy, I found myself holding R2 to try to walk in this thing...lol

Some Home news

March 12, 2010 - If you're like most Facebook users, every time you sign on to the social networking site, you're bombarded with updates about how your friends are doing in Farmville, Mafia Wars, and so on.

PlayStation Home wants a piece of that action.

At the Game Developers Conference today, the folks behind Sony's free social platform told a roomful of developers that the tech is now available for them to give gamers the option to update their Facebook and Twitter pages from Home with accomplishments they've earned. Basically, you'd finish one of the mini-games in Home, and the title would offer to let you update your page with your score, the victory in general, or whatever the developer has decided to let you celebrate.

The other use for this tech would be or turn-by-turn games that are played over a long period of time, like chess. If a game has turned this option on and the users have enabled it, they could get Facebook messages notifying them when it's their turn to make a move.

There's no word on what the first game to use this "social media optimization" tool will be, but keep an eye out for your friends jabbering about what their avatars just did.

So just out of curiosity, is PS Home FINALLY out of the BETA stage? If so, when did that happen?

Nope not yet, but it's got a new UI, MUCH IMPROVED, you just might like it, give it a shot!!!:awesome::up:
YES! I absolutely LOVE the improvements. I especially love the fact that it doesn't take as long to go to different places in HOME. Very nice indeed. Thanks!

I like home and all but Im disappointed with how they expect me to pay 1.99 for a star wars hat and 5.99 for a lightsaber, are you out of your virtual mind sony? I cant see myself spending real money on clothes for a virtual character because it has star wars on it.

Geez I've had my PS3 for years and I've just now discovered a use for the Home feature, got all updated and then there's no one that'll actually talk to you.

WTF I have like 1 Friend.:o
