The Official Infamous Thread!!!

There's 1 infamous (pun intended) shard that's hard to find, which is on a building by ground zero. It doesn't come up when you click L3 until you're higher up the building. If you're ever struggeling to find 1 last shard, it's probably that one.
 
I got inFamous for free with KZ2 in Amazon's black friday bundle. Started playing it this week and it's really fun. Static thrusters kinda suck though.
 
i really hope that they fix the running in this game it would be much better if u can run faster and yeah the thruster thing does suck.
 
static thrusters were fine, what i want them to fix is the climbing. i want to choose when to grab a surface cuz i spent way too much time trying to collect blast shards on the side of buildings or positioning myself for attacks, and he wants to stop at EVERY SINGLE NOOK AND CRANNY on the way down! so frustrating.
 
IA. The auto grab kinda got annoying at times. I liked the static thrusters. It was fun to use them around the city.

One idea for a sequel is to add a second main character, with a new power, maybe fire based ones. Depending on how you play Cole, this will affect the actions of the other character in the story. If you play Cole good, the character will be bad and try to stop you. If you play Cole bad, the character will be good and again try and stop you. If you play him neutral, the character will be more of an ally. After you beat the game, get an oppurtunity to play from the other character's perspective.
 
i could go for that, though fire-based powers will probably feel very similar to lightning.

I'm disappointed with the thrusters. I thought you'd be able to travel around half the city with them. But they're really nothing more than a parachute disguised as a jetpack. Grinding on wires is more fun than I thought it'd be though.

That's a good idea. Fire seems a bit evil though. Maybe have that character's evil side use fire based attacks and good side use ice based.
 
thats exactly what i expected from the thrusters. half the fun of infamous is traversing the city, riding power lines, and climbing buildings. flying around would kill all that.
 
I like the thrusters how they are. But I wouldn't mind them tweaking them just a little to maybe being able to give you a short burst upward. Other than that, they are fine.
 
I think they should tweak the thrusters like making cole jump higher and faster

theres fire based good guys like Human Torch but it could work out. The ice idea is a good one too. Its something that would have a neutralizing effect on Cole's as water is his weakness. Either way, it would definetly be a way to increase replay value if it doesnt get too complicated for the developers

Another thing I would to see is some variation within the different islands in the city. The 3 islands in the first game all felt and looked the same. I hope if they split up the sections in the sequel that there is more distinction between them and each has their own unique feel

I would love ice based powers for the possibility of an ice slide. I always loved that about Iceman in the X-Men Legend games. I'd have a geekgasm if I could do that in a sandbox game.

I just wish you could press a button to get a temporary boost. I hope they improve it a bit next game.
 
I just beat it on Evil mode. :up:

I have like 30 something shards left to find, and I can't. :csad:
 
I beat it today (did the Good side first). Didn't see that ending coming.
 
I just started replaying it and I want a sequel even more now. I'm shocked they haven't at least announced it
 
Have you guys picked up the Gigawatt Blades free from the Store? They're a pretty cool power, wish they'd been in the release.

I got it as a preoorder and thought it was lame. It would have been better had you been able to combo with it but after one hit, it goes away and you have to keep manually selecting it which is pretty slow and not practical in the middle of battles. For that one hit, it felt overpowered as well. It had potential but the execution wasnt too good
 
I liked the slow mo kcik assery of it though.
 
btw, I did like that they eventually released it for all and made it free. I think all preorder DLC should eventually be free after a certain amount of time has passed. I also wish other DLC, like map packs and such would decrease in price as the retail games are discounted.
 
I finished the game about a month ago and loved it. I can't wait for the sequel.One idea i wanna see included is a static double jump to go with the thrusters.

its best to use the blade after you've unlocked the shield. you can pretty much run up to someone deflecting their bullets and take them out with one strike.

on a somewhat related note, if there's anything id want changed for a sequel is they gotta turn down the enemy's range. i cant even count how many bullets ive taken from some random guy on a rooftop like 6 buildings and 2 blocks away! if they wanna make a sniper class villain go right ahead, but not everyone should fire an AK-47 that well.
 
Enemy accuracy is my biggest problem too. It's like everyone's got a friggin' sniper rifle!
 
That was annoying. I saw so many bullet tracers go through my head. And I was playing on easy since I put it on that difficulty early on and forgot to change it.
 
Gah! I have one more shard to find and it is driving me up the wall! And the ironic thing is, is that I have found all the "commonly missed" ones that people post on websites. :csad:
