I actually would love a nice and easy one and done villain for the first one since the focus is on establishing the many characters
I definitely can see a one and done villain for Marvel Studios' The Uncanny X-Men: First Mansion Steps Begin.I actually would love a nice and easy one and done villain for the first one since the focus is on establishing the many characters

Ha! Yeah thats it! Rdj as Sauron saying he doesn’t want to cure cancer he just wants to turn people into dinosaurs
“Sentinels/Master Mold and the Friends of Humanity” - I think they’d fit well in the first film. I’d love to see Sauron and the Savage Land (and Ka-Zar) in a sequel, but it’s probably too out-there a concept to put in the first film while also introducing all the X-Men.Lol exactly.
In all honesty, I do think Sauron (and Savage Land) could be a fun entry villain—the juxtaposition of mutants being the next stage in evolution facing off against prehistoric dinosaurs and Sauron is an interesting thematic visual that could be played with.
Alternatively, Sentinels/Master Mold and the Friends of Humanity—humans turn to machines to enhance themselves in their “war” against mutants, only to them rely on the X-Men to save them from a rogue Master Mold.
Yeah, Savage Land once introduced can also be used outside of an X-Men film. I think Marvel should build up the cosmic side and areas like this to give new elements to the universe that can appeal like Jurassic ParkYeah I don't see how Sauron could be a villain in the first film.
Also, a Ka-Zar movie would be different, so if Marvel Studios need another character to headline a solo film. Ka-Zar would be my pick. They could do a lot in Savage Land as well.
Sounds like a dream to see in live action one day. I hope there are some in the creative process with things like this on the radar.I've said it before but I think you smash together Karl Lykos and John Sublime; he's capturing mutants and bringing them to his Savage Land laboratory (conveniently out of reach of international genetic laws) to siphon their powers for himself and his mutates.
When the X-Men take the fight to Lykos (or rescue some captured teammates), they find themselves not only fighting against Lykos' mutates/U-Men, but the Savage Land's resident dinosaur population too--imagine the X-Jet barely evading the head of a brachiosaurus emerging from the treeline.
Once he's defeated, we learn about the bigger bad who's been pulling the strings--another X-Men villain obsessed with genetics, Mr. Sinister.
Cassandra Nova would be likely much more sinister in an X-Men film but she worked very well in Deadpool for me (the actress gave a really fun performance).I don't think Cassandra Nova was chosen because she's an X villain, that sounds ridiculously to say obviously I think the context in which she was used in the film is completely different than to even how she'd be used in a "regular" X-Men film.
Thinking about it further though it's almost guaranteed that it'll be the F.O.H no? They're the easiest villains to use as bad without reason and are essentially canon fodder with whatever choice of Evil head leading the group. Allows plenty of time for the team proper, although they're kind of a boring choice on paper.
Would you guys be interested in the X-Men being set on an alternative universe ala FF? It seems by films end they'll be crossed over anyway but would the idea appeal to anyone?
