X-Men The Official MCU X-Men News and Discussion Thread

He wasn't going to have a big role in X3 at all. He was going be one of the mutants Magneto freed from the convey. It wasn't worthy of a character of Gambit's popularity and was cut.

Now, if he is going to be on the team from the get go, I don't expect him to be cut from the movie. That is far different than some background character.
Iirc, he was in Alcatraz escape action scene. Weird though, how they used Gambit as someone to help Magneto escape.

The way that Fox went out of their way not to give Gambit ANY attention needs to be studied. It is so insanely stupid to me that you would have such a popular fan favourite and just bench him for the better part of 20 years.

I think if Fox prioritized making a X-Men 4 after X-Men 3, then we would have seen him with the X-Men as part of the team.

They did include him in Fox's 4th X-Men film knowing the fact he's a fan favorite, though too bad it was through a spin off/prequel film for the Wolverine.

I remember many fans were so excited seeing Gambit in that movie, before the movie leaked.

That's still more than a cameo.

kinda surprised about this. I know Daniel is one of the few serious scoopers, but.... isnt this way too soon?
why would Marvel be casting these roles if the movie isnt filming this year? and it doesnt have a director yet (as far as we know, that could change soon, sure).

I just hope they dont force the new x-men on Secret Wars. That movie will be overcrowded so its not the place to show the reboot X-Men as they deserve. A quick and you miss cameo is not the way, imo. no man.

So help me god if the new Russos rumor is true....

I think if they appear in Doomsday or Secret Wars, I think they will have a Black Panther or Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War type role. Basically an introduction into the MCU to prime the audiences for their own movie.

And that certainly worked out pretty well for both Black Panther and Spider-Man.

Rumor has it Jack Champion is up for Cyclops. Good actor but I'm not feeling teen X-Men.

I don't trust white guys who say Kitty is their favorite character. I blame Whedon, Bendis, and Guggenheim
Only Kitty would speak an entire list of slurs in a euology for a hate crime victim and think it's okay.

Is that better or worse than being subject to the creators... lets just stick to fantasies...

Didn't she use that word to make her point because her African American dance teacher was trying to lecture her about how being called a "mutie-lover" by one of her classmates is "just words"? The same classmate who thought the two black children who were murdered in cold blood by the Purifiers "deserved it" because they were mutants. Do words matter or not? Because the black dance teacher didn't seem to care that much that two black children and their parents were murdered and one of her students thought they deserved it.

The idea of a teen X-Men movie in the late 2020s to early 2030s... God, that would really make me feel my current age when those movies come out.

I know right? Most polling I've seen places him in the top 5 favorite males consistently.
