Whatever casting decisions they make, I hope the actors won't be bullied on social media like many others before. But we know how things work.

I want a queer character as one of the faces of the francise. I mean like one of the leads. So I'd be happy with Bobby or Kitty, but Kitty is the one I can easily see taking a center spot going beyond the POV character.

With that said, yeah, I believe they'll choose Jubilee.

Jean just died, Xavier's dead, Colossus has been dead for years, that would require a bit of backstory and a whole lot of "secret history of the MCU" that they don't have time for

Plus stupid Ms. Marvel stole stupid Armor's stupid powers, so that's ruined.
(lol sorry just grumpy, I love both characters, but don't love the power change in the MCU)

just cause they take inspiration from a certain run of the comics, doesn't mean it will be an exact translation of every event...

they probably just mean they'll use a similar line up/team dynamic

2025/2026 seems so long but now we are nearly in 2023 when you least think about it we will already be in 2024 time go so fast and im hoping to see the X-Men be introduced in Secret Wars first before their solo movie.i think Marvel is working on the casting and the story of the X-Men movie right now.

I brought this topic on the Wolverine thread, but decided to bring it here too.

We know we're stil years away from an X-Men movie. Some previous reports stated that Marvel can't make a movie due to some contract issues. To be honest, I don't quite believe the actors are still attached and can't be recast. But I do think the producers might be. Still, everything we've seen so far doesn't debunk this rumour (Stewart reprised his role and every mutant announced or introduced were never used by FOX). But considering for a moment that these reports are 100% true, I have some questions:

-How long would they have to wait for this contract to expire? 8 years like it was before?
-If so, would that count for different properties? Like, could they make a Wolverine movie before, or they would have to wait 8 years after the last X-Men spin-off, New Mutants?
-Does that count for TV as well?
-If the actors are indeed attached, how does that work for characters like Rogue, Kitty or Bobby, last seen in 2014? Could they be introduced before in different franchises? Maybe Bobby or Kitty doesn't make sense. But characters like Rogue it could work. But if they intend to use Raven in her introduction, which I hope they do, they'd have to wait a little longer.
What about Gambit, last seen in 2009? He is a character that would perfectly work being introduced outside of the X-Men. Could they make a TV show before?
