I'm just not big on seeing teen X-Men again. I'm more excited for Doomsday/Secret Wars and seeing a seasoned group interacting with the MCU.
I’m fine with an X-men Evolution take but I don’t want Storm being older than the rest of the team.
In Marvel Studios, I trust.
After seeing The Fantastic 4: First Steps, I feel a bit optimistic how they would handle the X-Men reboot.
Oh she can be in that leader role and still be the same age as everyone else. Just felt like an excuse to sideline her in that series.I like Storm in that leader role & thought she had some awesome moments (especially in the later seasons) but if the MCU ends up resembling Evolution, I’d at least hope her characterization goes beyond her being Spyke’s aunt.
I also grew up with the X-Men/Marvel games during those times and I didn't like the first costumes in Evolution.Evolution is the series that got me into xmen so I don’t think it was as bad as people remember it. I suppose if you grew up with 97 it was a bit more radical and very much of its time

Lol what an inspiring quote
The director said earlier in the interview: “What I can say is, it’s just inherently interesting and complex material… The core idea of what ‘X-Men’ is involves complexity. It’s an incredible opportunity with super interesting characters and [much] internal conflict. These characters are wrestling with their identity and place in the world—that’s inherently interesting and complex material.”
This feels like a whole lot of nothing. Maybe Schreier has nothing to say at this point too early in development but it feels likes he’s purposefully avoiding any social commentary.
In Marvel Studios, we trust!
