X-Men The Official MCU X-Men News and Discussion Thread

I'd assume the animated theme may be used in Doomsday, as we've heard it used for Xavier in Multiverse of Madness, and teased in Ms. Marvel. If the rumors are true that the X-Men from the end of The Marvels (which presumably will be the X-Men in Doomsday) are basically the animated X-Men, it will make sense.

But I'm thinking the MCU X-Men post Secret Wars will probably get their own theme
Maybe a hint of the animated theme, but not even as overt as Superman

Didn't they use John Ottman's theme in The Marvels, when Beast appeared?

And I'm pretty sure, they recycled a lot of OT music for the Doomsday cast announcement.

if the Russo/Feige approach to the X-Men in Doomsday is the X-Men 97 vibe.... would be awesome to have the exact same roster (except Sunspot). Seeing Jubilee and Bishop next to Cyclops, Storm, Jean, Rogue, Nightcrawler and co is like a dream of mine. With all looking straight from the comics.

But for some reason Fox was scared of success and never gave us that.

Yes. They used Ottman's X2 theme with the Beast cameo in The Marvels. The animated theme is my favorite but both are great. I'd be fine with either being used.

Love Ottman's X2 theme, and I could see them using that for the X-Men in Doomsday and Secret Wars, but if they're going to be recycling a previous X-Men theme in the MCU reboot then it will be the animated series theme.

I was recently reading that almost 25% of Gen Zs identify as queer. And although I have no data for the following statement: I do feel this generation is very socially aware.

I'm curious to see how a depoliticized X-Men will resonate with them.

Iceman needs to be gay this time around. Its the right character, if they make him young, gay and funny (and handsome too) general audience will end loving him.

I dont see it for any other A-list X-Man, so..... Marvel and Feige better adapt him with his current sexuality.

100% although I don’t think those stats are quite right but this is a new time and people definitely are aware they have more queer family than they did in previous years. If they depoliticise then the x-men would be a movie just with people running around in bright costumes. If you don’t give them a point people won’t resonate with them
