If the gap between ps4 and ps4slim is the same to this, ps5slim should come out by September 2023.
My understanding is the blue, pink, and purple ones are all the new models, and presumably the black and white ones are mixed, not sure about red but I think it'd be the latter. Holding my pink one and the white that came packaged with the machine, you can feel the difference in the triggers. Wouldn't be able to say about the serial numbers. With the Black Friday deals, the DualSense is at an all-time low over here (64 maple bucks, down from 90-95). I'm thinking of grabbing one to use on PC but I heard Sony released a second revision of the controller with stronger triggers or thumbsticks I believe.
I read the updated controller should end with an "A" for its serial number. Can anyone confirm this?
Thanks for the info. I'm currently eyeing the purple and red versions but looks like I'll go with the former. "Baby blue" looks good too.My understanding is the blue, pink, and purple ones are all the new models, and presumably the black and white ones are mixed, not sure about red but I think it'd be the latter. Ps5lim is reported to come out neXt year.As expected. 7/8 years per gen seems like the new normal. Wonder if there will be any mid-gen refreshes this time.
A slim would be more compact (good thing IMO for PS5) but not more powerful right? Wonder if they will do the equivalent of a Pro this gen.Ps5lim is reported to come out neXt year.

Oh nice. The gens are too long to still have 7/8 year old tech for the games near the end of the gen.
It would be cool if I get a ps5 before this gen ends.Oh nice. The gens are too long to still have 7/8 year old tech for the games near the end of the gen.
You can get a PS5 when the PS6 is out.It would be cool if I get a ps5 before this gen ends.![]()
I probably wouldn't need one, if ps4/5 games are compatible to ps6.You can get a PS5 when the PS6 is out.![]()
Would you get the newest console if it was available or happy saving money and waiting?I probably wouldn't need one, if ps4/5 games are compatible to ps6.![]()
Get it if its easy to get.Would you get the newest console if it was available or happy saving money and waiting?
So I ended up getting the Cosmic Red DualSense and it is the revised model. It seems all controllers being sold should now have the improved triggers and thumbsticks.
For reference:
Now I have to play a game that supports both the adaptive triggers and the haptic feedback, and see if the hype is warranted.![]()

Oh right, I completely forgot about Kena. I just checked a list of ports and multiplats that support either DualSense features and Kena is not one of them unfortunately.Of what I know is available for both, Kena makes great use of the triggers.
