okay. it just felt kind of random mentioned in your post with the article talking only about the Psportal

It made me wonder when the ps5 slim is going to come out. I read a report before, that it is going to come out this year. But after seeing the psportal date, I don't think Sony would launch both of these two in Q4 of 2023.

So I guess it'd be like the ps4slim and ps4pro, same year but different months.

that's what I am thinking. last gen was the first gen that a playstation console had a pro version. So I'm thinking they'll release in the same year

From what I researched, Ps4slim and ps4pro were announced in the same day back in Sep 2016. Slim was released in Sep 2016, the same week it was announced, and pro was released in November.

So ps5 might be like that as well, if not even much earlier than Sep/Nov.

Anyway I can't wait. From the PS4 era, the Ps4 slim has the longest lifespan out of the 3 ps4s and I think they are still manufacturing it? From Wikipedia, it looked like ps4 pro is no longer in production since 2020.

So I eXpect ps5 slim to have the same fate as the ps4 slim even if its not as powerful as the pro model. The original ps5 is now being sold in lower price in other countries, probably in preparation for these newer models.

Baldur's Gate 3 Is Now PS5's Highest Rated Game Ever

I couldn't stop myself so I put FF16 aside for the moment so I could play BG3 and as far as I've gotten it really feels deserving of all the praise it's received. It's the kind of game I just can't stop playing, and that I keep thinking of when I'm not playing, and that's pretty rare. 20-25 hours isn't remotely close enough to get a grasp of the entirety of the game but it does really feel like it's a worthy successor to the legendary Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, while still being it's own thing.

As for the list of best rated games I really like that top 3. I'm not going to rank them internally myself but it's a real standout group to me.

Just saw the ps5s in my local store being sold for less than $100 dollars. I'm tempted to buy but I'm saving it all for 2024.

Saw something earlier very quickly that suggests the PS Portal can be played outside the house (as long as you have a compatible device - compatible TV?). Not sure if I heard right but that would be very different if so and much more interesting.

Its still not as cheap as a ps4 slim in 2019. But I think this is just eXpected especially when slim/pro comes out neXt year. Hopefully the price is much cheaper for the original ps5 (and the games) neXt year, when I finally want to commit owning a ps5.

My ps5 stopped working for an unknown reason, it just crashes whenever I start a game or even if I'm in the start menu for too long. System updates don't work and warranty has run out, but luckily Sony offers a repair for about 200 dollars, or a replacement if it cannot be fixed

I'd much rather wait for the pro-model, but Spider-man 2 is coming out in a month and I don't have such self-restraint. I feel like the pro ps5 would've already come out had it not been for covid. Oh well...
