I don't think people mind being in a walled garden when prices are long term competitive. Ask pc gamers how much the Steam monopoly has ruined gaming for them, and why they don't even bother downloading the same games for free from other providers.Well, that's one problem of a closed ecosystem/walled garden. However, MS and Nintendo do allow third parties to sell digital codes (e.g. Humble Bundle for Switch games).
I will always champion for corporations losing money against "the little guy" but I reckon this lawsuit won't go anywhere.
I ran out of space years ago so I wanted to go digital, but prices of old games on console stay so far above the physical versions that it feels dumb to pay up.
