I thought that with all of the sure-to-be heard information coming in from comic con today, we would need a thread, and one thread only, to post all of what we've heard. As of yet, i have heard nothing; save a rumor about
Man-Spider being in the game. If anyone can prove this, or disprove it, then post it here!

Also Im kinda surprised we dont know anything about the game yet, with less than a year to go. In June 2003 we saw so much stuff about SM2. Guess they want to surprise us. Hopefully we hear some new stuff.

I totally agree in terms of what we should know. Then again, SM2 was revolutionary. It had an entire city that could be accessed entirely! It really was a fantastic game.

The new EGM issue (Sept. '06, issue 207) has a little sneak peek at what's going down in the October issue.

A world-exclusive preview of the Spider-Man 3 game for the PS3, Wii, and Xbox 360 is gonna be in the EGM October issue.

Here's the excerpt from the end of the Sept. issue:

"Black won't be the new red-and-blue until next summer, but we're way ahead of the fashions with our world-exclusive first look at Spider-Man 3 for the PS3, the Wii, and the Xbox 360. You'll see Spidey resplendent in his gooey coal-black unitard, tangling with baddies such as Venom, Sandman and more. We swing by the game's makers at Treyarchm the same gang who developed the Spider-Man 2 movie game, to see how they're reinventing the sling-anywhere formula to mesh with one of next summer's biggest films."

I can't wait for the game. I loved S-M2 for the PS2. It was a great game.

Actually, they do mention Spider-Man 3 the game in the October EGM. In the editorial, located at the begining of the magazine (Table of Contents page). The editor claims Sam Raimi requested the story be pulled at the last minute. He doesn't go into detail why though.

While Kotick did not bring the example up specifically in relation to the company's pricing strategy for games, he did mention that Spider-Man 3 has cost the company more than $35 million to develop on all formats. He did not specify on which consoles the game would appear.

"That is the most expensive product that we've created, and for good reason," Kotick said. "You'll see how much it really takes advantage of the assets and the capabilities of the hardware."

i saw at the end of the game trailer it stated that it's gonna come out for PC as well... but everywhere else i read it says it's only coming for PS3, Wii, and XBox 360... is it really comming for PC?

cause i don't feel like buying one of those consoles just for this game! i did that with the PS2 because of SM2 Game... I'm sick of them coming out with better consols every other year!

anyway, does anyone know if it's gonna come out officially for PC? if so, is it gonna be the full version, or just a stupid 9-year old version like the SM2 PC game?

1) I'll wait till this comes out for the Xbox360.
2) Even Ultimate Spider-man ran like crap on my PC, Most of the time the Console to PC ports go BAD! (at least for the spider-man games)
