While this looks like complete garbage.

Its more DB:E than Chun Li but thats not really saying much.

Almost like saying "Oh its a harder piece of poop, not complete diarrhea".

Obviously I can't judge the Movie since I haven't seen it yet, but how is it even possible to say that the screens look as bad as Chun Li's?

The costumes and set look ridiculously cheap and silly to me.

In a way a fighting games being made into movies just shouldn't happen. There's no real way to make Tekken, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, etc, work as a movie, because fighting game stories are notoriously shallow and lack any real meaning or consistency/depth.

HOWEVER, they are fun just to see how characters are brought into real life. I mean Mortal Kombat has characters like Goro and this has Yoshimitsu. That added with the potential of good fights is worth at least a rental.

Adapting Dragon Ball (Z) was always going to be a pretty daunting task but they could have done better than that.

I feel sorry for any actors involved, that actually thought this was a serious attempt at Movie making.

It's going to look cheap unfortunately as the budget is so low. Given that though it looks like the guys are at least trying for likenesses unlike certain other fighting flicks. With the budget & the lack of a theatrical release you know the studio is not fully behind this film so I'm not too disappointed with what we are seeing under these circumstances.

I wouldn't mind if he gets cast again as Ryu in a Street Fighter Movie. Heck, I wouldn't care if he gets cast in every fighting movie as the main character.

John Foo as Jin! John Foo as Ryu! John Foo as Kyo! John Foo as Liu Kang!

Ryu should be Japanese.

As if actors have never portrayed other nationalities before. And isn't Jin supposed to be japanese as well? As long as they look and can act the part, having a different nationality shouldn't stop them from getting the part.

Now I'm not saying I want John Foo as Ryu, I was obviously joking will the whole main character casting deal, but an actor's nationality simply doesn't bother me.

When I compare him with other japanese actors, he looks close enough without me losing sleep over it. Anyway, this is enitrely not the point. Your argument was that Ryu had to be japanese. He doesn't if they find the right person.
