Strange, the BD/DVD release date was originally April for this here, but now it has no release date, will it get a cinema run perhaps?

Why did they get Michael J. Fox to play Marty McFly? Marty is supposed to be an American, but Fox is Canadian.

Because a white Canadian can play a white American. Not all Asians look alike you know.

It's funny how much I want to see this movie, bordering on being slightly excited. I know it's going to most likely be full of bad/subpar acting and some bad dialogue but it looks accurate and the fights should be good. I hope it's like the first Mortal Kombat, to this day that film is still enjoyable despite it's flaws and cheese.

True, but honestly MOST can't tell a difference. I can tell my sister in law is half white because she doesn't look fully asain, but unless she tells me she was korean I wouldn't be able to tell.

Curse you Weinsteins for not giving a release date in the US.

argh and ugh. They are in BIG BIG money trouble and may go bankrupt. Either...

A) Movie gets delayed for a long time.

B) Third Rail Releasing puts it VERY limited (TWC owns them). This is what happened to Outlander and Rogue.

C) Direct to dvd release.

I rather have FOX put it semi wide in theaters with little marketing than crappy TWC.

I wouldn't mind if he gets cast again as Ryu in a Street Fighter Movie. Heck, I wouldn't care if he gets cast in every fighting movie as the main character.

Neither does Ryu, to me ryu always had a mixed look about him

There are so many different renditions by tons of artists, Jon Foo hardly looks wrong for the role.

Ummmm, yeah..those are drawings. But in real life, Ryu is supposed to be Japanese. I still find it funny that a half Chinese woman playing Chun-Li was taboo yet it's alright for a man of Singaporean-Chinese descent to play Ryu.

If Kristin Kreuk doesn't look Chinese, John Foo sure doesn't look Japanese.

Jon Foo may not look Japanese, but he DOES look like Ryu. Kristen Kreuk IMO looks nothing like Chun-Li. Jon Foo has a martial arts background which gives him even more credibility.
