After years upon years of speculation the A team movie seem's to finally be getting of the ground. Woody Harrelson has recently been on British BBC radio saying he's excited to be making the movie (as Murdock) and acyor/rapper Ice Cube was recently on a american TV show where he mentioned he was in talks to play B.A. Baracus.

With these two in place who would you like to see portray Hannibal, Face, Amy Allen and Col. Decker?

More interestingly what do you think the story should be about? So many times the casting is discussed but seldom the actual story. A recent article online has speculated that Face will be the villian of the movie who betrays the A team only to redeem himself near the end.

What are your thoughts on the movie, the cast, the story?

I'm not sure that I like Ice Cube as B.A.. I honestly think T is still in good enough shape and looks young enough to play it.

Woody Harrelson is perfect for Murdock.

As for Hannibal, though he may not look the role, George Clooney is basically perfect for it. Though he may see it as beneath him. :csad:

Face can pretty much be any random Hollywood pretty boy.

Steven J. Cannal (creator of the A Team and holds all the rights) was just on a popular local radio show here in Miami. He said the project is in development hell and not coming any time soon.

I totally agree, Clooney would be perfect though i heard Cannell wanted Bruce Willis. As you said i'm not sure Clooney would do it he's come along way from doing this kind of movie.

As for Ice Cube, i too dont think he's good enough, I know T would not do it being a born again christian (he also said in a British magazine he and the other cast members would not cameo if asked) I'd prefer Ving Rhames.

Matthooper, how recently did you hear Cannell say this, because i heard Harrelson was on board and they had a script they liked.

I love the 80s TV Show but I'm not sure about a movie based on that.

Personally i'd love to see a movie, They just have to get the cast right and make the characters faithful to the series.

Ice Cube sucks. If he's cast as BA... f**k this movie.

Woody as Murdock is pretty good, though.

For Hannibal, I like the idea of Clooney, but I still see Hannibal as bit older. Tom Wilkenson would be awesome, though I have no idea if he'd do it. Jon Voight would also be okay, although after watching his awful performance in Transformers, I don't know if he can hack it anymore.

For Face, yeah, I supposed a "pretty boy" actor is required, but hopefully they'd also get someone who can act as well.

Also, the idea of Face betraying the team is stupid. There's no need for that.

I know Stephen J. Cannell wanted Bruce Willis, said that was his ideal Hannibal, personally i cant imagine anyone better than Clooney, Clooney chomping on a cigar saying 'i love it when a plan comes together' it just fits.

I imagine they'll update the van too, though i cant think of anything at the moment that would be cool as the GMC.

Twentieth Century Fox has skedded John Singleton's film version of 1980s TV series "The A-Team" for release on June 12, 2009.
Singleton will direct the action-adventure from a script by writing partners Michael Brandt and Derek Haas ("Wanted," "3:10 to Yuma").

Film will bring to the bigscreen the exploits of Hannibal Smith and his team of former special forces soldiers, who have been set up for a crime they didn't commit.

    Casting hasn't been announced.

Already set to open on June 12, 2009 is Paramount's Eddie Murphy comedy "Nowhereland."
