The Official Halo Movie Thread

With Halo 4 coming i think it's time to bring back the Halo movie discussion.
How should it be?
Who should direct it?
Cast?
Wich story should it adapt?
I think it should be based on Combat Evolved with a possible 2nd and 3rd movies, i don't think it should be R Rated, the flood isn't too scary and i think it could get away with a PG 13 so as to make it a Family movie a la star wars.
Opinion?

Don't know what's so great about Halo, perhaps it's just that most people were kids when they played it for the first time and didn't really know the science fiction concepts used in this one. They should rather do a Ringworld movie...

I wasn't a kid then, i only started playing it recently for fun and because the of massive interest Steve Jackson and Steven Spielberg seem to have of the property to even plan a movie about it.
