Oh, I don't care about that. The dress she's in is quite fetching. Much better than her "I <3 NY" shirt in the Hyperion mini.

If you say so......

"I love feet.......I don't know why..."

I don't understand Granny Porn, but somebody buys it, and there for, it shall continue to be made.

No one else has any issues with the glorified bathing suit costume? Or is it just one of those cases where it's been around so long that no one questions it anymore?
I've always thought it was pretty bad myself. Something like this, which I found in the fan art section of the Hype, would be perfect.

I remember that costume. I never cared for it much, but it's closer to what I'd like to see than Wonder Woman's swimsuit costume.

So would you prefer the whole Xena/Bathing suit thing Jim Lee does?

I really like the armor with the Roman-style skirt Garcia-Lopez has been drawing for the current JLA Classified arc. It's a simple redesign that works better for the character while preserving the overall look of the classic costume.

It does not surprise me at all that DC didn't change her costume too much. They've long since (and rightly) learned the value of iconism, and with the movie coming out they have marketting and commercial rights to consider.

I think the bathing suit is definitely silly -- which costume isn't? -- but I personally don't see it as particularly demeaning or disrespectful unless you specifically make it out to be. Did people consider Lynda Carter to be crude and demeaning to women when she ran around army bases in that exact same costume? No, it was a fun TV show and everyone ate it up. Hawkman walks around half-naked too, but apparently for him it's considered manly. Is there a double standard in this business where we can safely assume that least 85% of the audience and 90% of the creators are male? Of course.

And a lot of it has to do with the art style too, especially during the late 90s/early 2000s when her cleavage got lower and lower and the panties eventually amounted to nothing more than a thong. Without meaning to disparage any particular artists over another, something like this is obviously pushing the boundaries of good taste, whereas something like this appears light years more appropriate, even though it's the exact same costume.

Why are you linking Disney.com?

Because I'm a filthy bandwidth thief:(.

Fixed.

I would love for WW to have that costume since I think it looks great but since a lot of people dont like that big of a change, it would be a perfect costume for Donna or Cassie.

I think if they gave WW the armor costume that she wears on occasion, it would be great and it wouldnt upset to many fans I think but ofcourse fear of change is what keeps her in that bathing suit just like how it keeps Batman and Superman with their underwear on the outside.

why did they feel the need to keep this hidden from us. ususally when they do that it's to keep a big secret from being revealed early. they could've just shown us this in the first place.

They didnt hide it from us, it just was a work in progress.

Wow. Wonder Woman, the un-American superheroine, with her star-spangled costume and eagles fluttering around her. I don't get that cover at all. :(

I'm still looking forward to what Heinberg does with Wondie, though.

Well, eagles have been a part of the Wonder Woman iconography from since her inception right up to Kingdom Come and beyond. The fact that they're bald eagles is a bit much, of course, but I don't see anything really too wrong with the picture.
