Well, as I said, Lex can hardly become a businessman now. He's a wanted criminal. And the crystals he could have used to develop superior krypto-technology are in space. The movie was wrong to take him back to square one in that fashion.

There is no way to right Lex. His con artist personality has been established, He kidnapped Lois and superson, He caused numerous destruction in Metropolis, and tried to create a monstrous continent on the east coast of the US. And now the fanboys want him to come back and establish Lexcorp and be the powerful intimidator he should have been in this movie. Goodluck with that one Singer. Once again Lex is screwed up. Surely the justice system in Metropolis cant be that blind that he gets off the hook again.
