Sequels The Perfect Look for a Live Action Lizard

I say no to the dinosaur/velociraptor look because he's a LIZARD-man not a dinosaur man.

Also - No to anything to much like an alligator or crocodile. Dr. Connors didn't experiment with crocs because they can't grow their tails back like lizards.

The Lizard should have 5 fingers and 5 toes because real lizards - like humans - have that number of fingers and toes.

I close my eyes and say "Lizard," and the McFarlane Lizard is the first thing that comes to mind. Not so much the Stan Lee Lizard.

The 60s Lizard might be able to be done practically. But a McFarlane Lizard might need to be 100% CGI.

A bloodthristy Lizard would be cool, but I thought the best incarnation of the Lizard was in the 1994 Spider-Man animated series on Fox. If I am not mistaken, the Lizard was used in the pilot episode and he looked spectacular.

Thumbs wwwwwaaaaaayyyyyy down!

Besides i think this is the direction they'll be going in, hence the SM3 toyline:

It might seem like a minor detail but they should definitely keep the lab coat. There are quite a few lizard like creatures in popular fiction and this gives him a distinct look.

I just hope he wears the lab coat. If not then give him a top hat and a cane and I'm good.

Yes, the 1994 animated Lizard is still the best. The only problem was that he was a little too big and bulky in that cartoon. He was pretty huge- almost Hulk size. That's why the Lizard was used as a substitute for Hulk in the "Secret Wars" 3-part episode towards the end of the Spidey Animated series.

Remeber when Ben was spidey and he tracked down the lizard creature that was going after conners and billy? I think Bagley drew the lizard once conners transformed....thats how I want the lizard to look.

I know the last two pics are from the MTV cartoon, but is the first pic Ultimate Lizard? I don't read USM, as I have always stuck in to ASM, even with the bad writing, for over 15 years. If that is Ultimate Lizard, I still think I prefer the 1994 cartoon version or the more classic 616 look.

does anyone have a pic of the the lizard in the sewer that they thought about using in Sm2?

Are you referring to the Lizard design that was used in the promos for the SM2 console video game?

As far as I know, there have never been any actual Sony preproduction movie designs of Lizzy shown to the public.

I probably am alone on this, but I prefer the older version to the more recent, dinosaur-like Lizard we have been presented in the last couple of years.
This is an example of what I would like to see... maybe a bit more beastial though:

I do think the Ultimate Lizard has an interesting design... but what about the clothes?

Considering the situation, the Lizard could go with and without clothes. Maybe during the first transformation have them intact, but after that let the nature side dominant.

Lizard should have pants on IMO. Since he starts out as a man, there's no way of knowing for sure if his wanker is supposed to be retractable and I'd personally like to keep that a mystery.

You know it would be much more realistic to not have Connors revert back and forth into the Lizard. Rather, play it out as that he's slowly beginning to change and just keeps on changing. So he keeps his clothes when he's half-way through the transformation and clothes just automatically tear off when he's completed mutated into , perhaps 7 feet tall, Lizard. This whole process could take about first half of the movie, maybe.

Yeah... like the David Cronenberg version of The Fly. Except not as gross.

Also, am I the only one who thinks that the classic Lizard is actually more realistic than more recent interpretations? I'm not quite sure how a man could grow a big-ass snout like that. Where would it come from?

He should have the white lab coat that gets dirty and ripped apart, and brown pants from his suit.

He should have whatever clothing he was wearing at the time, and unless he grows large enough that it simply would not be able to stay on, it should stay on.

The Lizard can't be too big or he couldn't fit into a manhole to get into the sewers.

all I remember was a close up pic of the the Lizard in it was the pic that was in the Spider-man 3 video game, it was the pic that was in the paper on the wall that said giant Lizard spotted.
