"The Phantom Legacy", a re-imagining of 1996's "The Phantom"

I would have liked to see a new The Phantom being made. The last one came out when the genre was sinking. Now it's up again, bigger than ever.
How could they not want to try it?

Since Batman got new life again with Nolan onboard (after the campfest B&R), I'm sure the same can work for Lee Falk's hero.
