if we get invited, the price is met and we get booked, I don't see why not... although we are still trying to set a name for ourselves in Texas, we're from Mexico

BTW, I just checked out your website, I like the songs posted there...not too shabby!

thanks, you can actually sample songs from the album there, the songs for download are outtakes and alternate mixes

Skinny Puppy

I love all the songs, but here are some of my favorites;

Testure
Warlock'd
Assimilate
Killing Game
Far to Frail
Chainsaw

Have you ever heard of Danko Jones? They are this really good 3-piece Canadian band kind of in the bluesy, c**k rock, style (in the AC/DC,Thin Lizzy,Detroit Rock vein). I really dig 'em, you should check them out & let me know if you like them too!

*edit* deleted useless links

Too Dark Park is their best album

They're from Canada right? Or is it my imagination? Could've sworn I read it somewhere.

Hey Plas, ever heard of the Swedish band from the late 80's/early 90's named Union Carbide Productions? They are a mix of psychodelic, classic rock, & grunge/punk. Absolutely awesome IMO...I HIGHLY suggest that you check 'em out - I don't think you'll be disappointed. (recomended CDs: "Financially Dissatisfied, Philosophically Trying" & "Swing")
Oh by the way, a couple of the members formed another group after U.C.P. broke-up named The Soundtrack Of Our Lives...another excellent band. A little less heavy, more classic rock sounding & trippy.(check out the CD "Behind The Music")

will do....

by the way, I just got a leaked copy of NIN's With Teeth, the first time I heard it I was a little bit dissapointed because I was expecting a lot, and I mean A LOT! from Trent, but after listening to it again, the albums grows on you, it has to be appreciated like all of his records, as a whole piece of work

and thanks to the undisclosed poster who provided me with such a great gift, it is highly appreciated

and yes, I am going to buy this album as soon as it hits stores, yesIam

I probably got it from the same source as you did, PLAS. Thanx 2 U-Know-who-U-R! (& I'm going to buy it too 5-3-05.)

My experence with it is exactly the same as yours in that I wasn't sure at 1st, but after listening to it a few times, now I LOVE IT! Trent pulled it off once again IMO! I think the reason I wasn't too hip on it originally is that the state of music has changed so much since the last NIN CD. Although there have been many that have tried to emulate his style in one form or another, there is still only one innovator/master of the genre. ALL HAIL REZNOR!

thanks to everyone for making this a great thread

and yes, I took the hint ;)

Tidal by fiona Apple is great too, it's sensuous, dim and touching, very frail, I can't believe I had it for a long time and hadn't heard it for a while

plas, i know you dont like limpbizkit, but check out their new song. Go to limpbizkit.com and watch the video. Let me know what you think. A buncha limpbizkit haters are saying this is a good song. Its called the truth.

I hate to admit it...I like it (I always liked Wes, anyway...I'm glad he's back! Now if only Durst would quit....)

yeah, if Wes wasnt back... limpbizkit probably wouldnt be around anymore. Especially after their last album.

when I first heard Limpbizkit, I thought they were an okay band, not the best, but a band that had their **** together, but specially, Wes Borland blew me away, I've always been a fan of his

on Significant Other, they actually improved from the first album (I'm a closet lover of songs such as "Rearranged", "Break Stuff" and others from that one), then I started researching on Wes' rig, his tastes and stuff and turns out I really identified with him, I felt I knew where he came from

Fred I always thought to be a dick, but still, you can0t have everything in this world

when Chocolate Starfish hit, I checked it and realized something: Wes Borland is a true musical genius, the guy basically wrote that whole album himself, but guess what? as soon as Mr Durst starts singing, the whole thing goes to hell... I actually found a rip of that album sans vocals and believe me when I tell you this, any other singer could have made that album much better

then Wes steps out and whatever allure or interesting hints of whatever they had left with the Bunny Suit

and since he's back, I think I'm going to check the new song out

by the way, I didn't even mention their previous, album because it doesn't even deserve to be mentioned

oh yes, and you might actually find this interesting

bastard

:p

PLAS, Was that taken from NIN's website, sent to Trent? If that is a legit e-mail from Durst, then I can at least respect two things about him...he likes good music...and he's honest!!! Durst = this generation's Axl Rose!

hey kids!
listen to this
your ears will thank you

Ladrytron
604
imagine what would you get if you mix Depeche Mode, Erause/Pet Shop Boys, old psychodelic music and Britney Spears and added some heroin to the mix, and that's kinda like what this album sounds like.
it's basically techno pop, with the added bonus of really intelligent songwritting and clever arrengements that breathe a very unique style into this group
perfect for late night parties, with enough 80's nostalgia thrown in the mix, one of the best dance albums I've heard
outstanding songs: "he took her to a movie", "jet age", "I'm with the pilots", "Ladybird"

Quicksand
Manic Depression
emo before it became a fad and nu metal before that term even existed
this now-defunct band from NY who happen to be contemporaries of Tool had possesed a very unique blend of metal, punk, grunge and lots of emotion
you want powerfull riffs? they're here, you want deep lyrics? check and overcheck, you want breakneck tempo swings that will make you stomp the mosh pit? they've got them is spades
it's a damn shame the band no longer exists
really cool tracks: "simpleton", "blister", "landmine spring", "torn on my side"
the whole things is great

more to come later

Those songs SUCKS!!

dont worry someday you will learn something about real good music

ohmygawd!!! the dickwad who thinks linkin park is the best band ever is questioning my taste in music

not only that, the penishead with the constant political comment who has no backroiund whatsoever for his comments is actually questioning my taste in music

not only that, the narrowminded simpleton who hasn't even had the third of my traveled road IN MUSIC, which is one of the few topics I think I have some minimal sort of knowldge of is questioning my taste in music

I'm not even going into the severe lack of proper usage of the english language...

question, how do you tell an idiot apart from an imbecile? the imbecile is not aware of his own stupidity
