I'd like to see something other than these processed-looking photoshop jobs all the time. Not that some of the examples in this thread aren't cool, but I found the poster campaign for Begins, and frankly the trend to use photos all the time in all movie posters, a little boring. They're generic.
How about painted or drawn posters, by comic artists (someone like say, Jock, Lee Bermejo). Or some really graphic design oriented stuff - stark or a little abstract.
Look to posters of decades gone by.
The V for Vendetta poster campaign was one of the coolest of recent years - a very refreshing change from the usual stuff.
I'm not saying do anything exactly like that, but that level of originality. Something that stands out.
