I don't think either would leave their current jobs to take a cabinet spot. Kerry is one of the most powerful men in Senate and Patrick is a young, one term governor who can still have a bright political future himself...why pull the breaks on it for the next eight years?
I don't know man, Cabinet positions are political stepping stones. I'm sure they'll at least be asked.
Patrick has already announced that he won't leave his governor post. A smart move. My guess is, he will appoint himself as Senator when Ted Kennedy passes. As for Kerry, a cabinet position does him no good. He will never seek the presidency again. So, if he is ready to retire from the Senate, he will take it if offered. If he wants to remain a senator, he won't.
Rahm Emanuel is the spelling
Dont have a clue...who is he?
I think Tim Kaine will be offered something, though. Kaine can't be re-elected, and his term will be up in one year. He has no other office to run for, so it would make complete sense for Kaine to be offered the Attorney General post.

What are the odds of Al Gore being an adviser or something?
None...
Honestly...Obama doesnt want him in the white house...
maybe in some sort of environmental post, I could see that, otherwise I wouldn't count on it. Going from VP to a cabinet post is considered a step down.
