I adore the music of every one of those bands, but none, and I mean none of them, are as good as Led Zep. Queen and The Rolling Stones manage to come as close as any other band can get (along with The Who, who are essentially tied with Zep as my favorite band), but Led Zeppelin are an untoppable band, and anyone who doesn't like them simply has no respect for the impact they had and continue to have on popular music. Bands like Nirvana, Weezer, The White Stripes, Radiohead and yes even your beloved Green Day are all influenced by Led Zep in one way or another, as are most bands, even if it is indirectly. Sorry, but it's fact.

I think your mistaken with Zeppelin with The Who! Thats a band Green Day are influenced by. I dont care about ranking bands like your doing! I like Green day, Queen, Rolling Stones, Van Halen, GNR, etc...Im not going to waste my time trying to figure it out, who ranks who ranks. I'd rather just worry about what cd Im going to play for those bands!

I don't think Led Zeppelin is God. I simply think they are the greatest band ever, and there music has an incredible hold on my physical being.

Right now, I'm emmersing myself in the utterly transcedent piece of music known as "Trampled Underfoot", from 1975's Physical Graffiti, the greatest album in the history of rock and roll.
