Iron Man 2 The Story: Scenes You'd Like To See

Okay, time for some serious discussion. How do you think this film will play out, and what do you want to see.

I'll go first. I'd love if it opened in the press conference and then the next scene was an extended meeting with Fury.

I also think a flight scene with War Machine and Iron Man side by side is a must!

^^ Those would rock! I would love to see homages to particular stories such as the Tales of Suspense story involving Black Widow, Crimson Dynamo, Tony Stark, and Pepper Potts, which, if i'm not mistaken, we are getting. What I mean though, is maybe a specific scene from it or something. I would also love to see Tony Stark and Nick Fury, or maybe even Nick Fury himself meet up with another soon to be superhero to set up for the Avengers.

I'd love to see Tony telling Fury "I've got Bruce" and in return, Fury tells him about Thor. (Imagine how awesome it'd be to see the Thor Teaser Trailer attached with Iron Man?

Seeing Mandarin would be awesome. More interaction between Stark and Fury, seeing Rhodey don the War Machine armor and as said seeing Iron Man and War Machine fighting side by side vs. Dynamo.

I'm also hoping that the Mandarin makes an appearance. I envision two scenes; one where he is meeting with Hammer and the other being the last scene of the film. With him lamenting about Stane's, Hammer's, and Whiplash's failure to get rid of Stark and deciding that he'll have to take matters into his own hands (no pun intended ).

I would like to see something along these lines:

Justin Hammer is a rival of Tony Stark and was an admirer/protege of Obadiah Stane. When Iron Man is implicated in the death of Stane, Hammer has a score to settle not only with Iron Man, but also with Tony personally. So, he contracts The Crimson Dynamo (or titanium man) to fight Iron Man while Hammer finds a way to control Tony's suit. He makes Tony do something awful, like blow up a school bus or something, and Stark is taken into custody. To prove his innocence, Tony has Rhody put on the suit to show that even when stark is in jail, there is still an Iron Man. With his name cleared, Stark is then free to reclaim the mantle of Iron Man while Rhody takes on the War Machine armor in a climactic battle royale.

I don't really know how to work in Fury, Black Widow, etc..but I think this is how it will go, and it's relatively consistent with various events from the comics.

I really want to see some more overt references to the Mandarin and hopefully a mention of his name (either spoken or written down on some documents or something similar).

A totally wasted Stark in the armour having his ass kicked by Crimson Dynamo in front of news crews at the end of the movie. He's about to be killed when War Machine comes in and pulls him out at the last minute.
This movie should be the 'dark middle part' of the trilogy, the way they used to do it empire-style.
The way i see it, Stark has to fall in this movie. Fall hard. The harder he falls, the better it'll be when he's redeemed in the third one.

Pepper's boyfriend interacting in a funny and awkward scene with Stark. I know RBJ can make this gold.

Rourke in a place where he's constructing the Whiplash armor, and Rockwell watching him.

A scene where Fury introduces Tony to some of the other Avengers (at the moment it's just the Pyms & possible Hawkeye). Then he references others he wants on the team. (Banner, a man who can control thunder & lightning, a man who's an expert with arrows * incase Hawkeye isn't in it* & that they're searching for Cap's body in hopes of using it for tests)

we can't have him fail TOO bad since the avengers is comin up, no time for ironman3 to come before that. my opinion anyway

So you want him to again get his ass saved by someone else, not win the big fight at the end against Mickey Rourke's character, have friggen War Machine be the savior at the end of the movie? and then for Tony not have a significant role in the Avengers movie because he he'll be too drunk until he gets redeemed in the third one? Why not start calling these movies War Machine while we're at it.

Screw that, truth be told, I'd rather they wait for War Machine to be in the third, have Tony fall from grace in another trilogy of movies and have him kick all sorts of ass in these.

But seriously... I want an epic battle that spans across the entire city DBZ style and not just the playground brawl we got in Iron Man 1

a scene where Stark proposes changing the color schemes of the suit.

More "hinting" scenes pointing to the avengers and maybe a full onscreen HULK camero.

The studios are now starting to get the point but they need to need much more networking between the characters specially in the Marvel universe.

I want a scene where Tony is drunk and belligerent, as Ironman, trying to take down a big name baddie.
