Iron Man The Suit!!!!! [Mark III-Red and Gold Awesomeness]

Hey all...I didn't see a gallery thread, so I am posting this here, not sure how new it is...

The suit actually looks very agile in that video. Looks fluid, must be easy to move in it.

It's amazing isn't it?
The new high res shot is absolutely out of this world incredible.

Even the crappy video stills and footage are completely amazing.

That's Ironman, in all his perfect comic book glory, there's no questioning that.

It's funny, I have loved all superheroes all my life and Ironman unfortunately was never at the top of my list. But I did think he was a great character nonetheless.
Seeing these pix today with all the stuff we know about the movie, the actors and director involved etc, there is just something, somehow, very uniquely special happening here. Even more so than Spidey, and alot of the other superhero movies we've been getting.

I feel that childish awe when I see these pix and footage.

IRONMAN looks perfect. The stars seem to be aligning perfectly for this movie.

just when I thought it couldn't get better its in high res! If there was one costume I would want to make this one would be it.

Nice looking suit. I can't wait to see how well it plays out on the big screen.

Can't really complain. That's Iron Man. The colour's just a bit muted to me, I'd jack it up just a little bit like this:

... delicious.

The suit will probably look like that. The official photo looks like it has been filtered.

But I don't mind either way.

Looks simply awesome, the only worry now is if it looks flimsy and rubbery when the actor is moving around in it, kind of how C3PO's costume looked sometimes.

How come nobody is screaming "That's not red, it's burgundy" like they did when the first photo of Brandon Routh in costume was released?

Ok here is a question about the armor. What "movie material" is it made out of?

Just because no director previously has had the balls to put those characters up on the screen as they are intended to appear does not mean they would not work.

The new Iron Man suit is testament to this.

Iron Man's costume is no stronger a design then any of the aforementioned Marvel characters.
I applaud the costume team/director behind this production.
This just proves authentic recreations of Marvel characters can work on screen without having to dumb down and compromise their appearance for movie audiences.

As for the pics I'm blown away by the authenticity to the source material.

The real suit looks like they had to sacrifice a bit of esthetics for functional design. Still looks frickin' sweet!

Rivals Robocop for coolest armoured suit design.
Exactly. I prefer the original Granov drawing a bit but they did a very good job translating it into a practical suit. I agree with the Robocop comparision as well. Looks like Iron Man could kick serious ass in that armor.

A moderator has already ended the discussion of that on this thread as you'll see in this quote which I believe you can find the actual post on page 11 or so. I'm not trying to be a jerk its just if you re open that discussion there will be pages full of people arguing about whether or not a character like Wolverine's costume would work or not.

This post is the line in the sand, the Wolverine debate stops here......you want to discuss it further make a separate thread in Marvel movies

Get over it.
