Can someone PM me the link to the exact video that everyone saw?

I know it sound a little nuts to request such a thing. But I kind of need to put it into perspective.

Just search for it on Youtube. Hope you weren't planning on sleeping tonight.

I must be dead on the inside or something because I didn't feel a thing watching the uncensored video.

I agree. You're dead on the inside.
Well at least I can be honest with myself. A few months ago I would've felt something like when I heard about that Syrian boy who got tortured to death , but not now.

Wow some badass stuff must have happened to you between now and a few months ago. Did you fight in a war or something?

Just watched a few videos of the dead children, wow...

Wow, I make an honest comment about how I might be dead on the inside and you mistake that for thinking I'm a badass :whatever:.A bunch of bad s*** has been happening to me so yeah I don't give a s*** about plenty of stuff I see now.

To anyone who feels that the sight of all those mutilated dead children doesn't shake the very fiber of their being - imagine your own innocent child or younger sibling amongst those piles of deformed corpses, and you'll have just found your worst fear. It is exactly this kind of apathy on our part that makes these tyrants and butchers think they can get away with heinous massacres like this.

Assad is blaming Libyans, Tunisians, and Afghans for the massacre. lol.

I just watched the video.
My reaction? Eh.

And I'll tell you why.

Nobody will do anything about this (including our government), so what's the point? I can't feel anything for this video, because the people in power don't feel anything for it either. There are a bunch of men running our country who see this **** everyday, they see beheadings, mutilations, you name it.... and none of it shakes the fiber of their being, and nothing shakes them into action.

Guys, all we can really say is, "Let's be glad this isn't our children or our siblings, and let's hope something like this never happens in our country", and let's leave it at that.

I have absolutely no care for the leaders of the world, including Obama, so **** it. I dislike them all. Until this stops happening, I can't be impressed by anyone.

I like how Joseph Kony was the Internet celebrity of the moment, and now America (and the world) has gone back to doing what it does best: not giving a crap.

Well I don't have a younger sibling nor do I have kids and I'm not planning on having any either. You can't play that card with me. I want Bashar al-Assad and the Syrian Baathists out of power , but the US ,Turkey , the Arab League , and the UN haven't done jack s***. They haven't even sent in arms or money to the resistance. I was reading in the LA Times that they were begging the UN Peacekeepers to do something while the massacre was happening , but the Peacekeepers didn't do a f****** thing. The current regime in Syria will always be in power because their Iranian , Chinese and Russian masters want them to be. Iran even has troops in Syria right now. Russia is even sending in arms to Syria for the Syrian military to use.

I don't know why, but I watched the video, and it did disturb me, but I had a stronger visceral reaction when I saw a video of Chinese fur traders skinning a fox alive.

Maybe that makes me a horrible person. I don't have an answer for that one.

Good that people are learning about this.
A lot of tyranny that goes on in the world isn't getting enough attention (like China's treatment of the Tibetans).

Only the stupid have no idea what the Chinese are doing to the Tibetans.

I just heard that one of my Film school colleagues from Syria was killed by the army. :csad:

This is just disgusting & inhumane.

Yeah, well, people who can't be bothered to show some sort of empathy or outrage even after seeing piles of horribly mutilated dead children are not worth convincing anyway.

Sorry to hear that, Parker.

It's very unfortunate. He was a nice guy too. Definitely one of the smarter Filmmakers.

You guys haven't met Scourge, yet? The guy's pretty apathetic to life in general.

Overthrowing the government would lead to chaos and desperation, however, it gives a civilization a chance to survive. Having a dictator slaughter helpless children isn't helping anyone. I'd take my chances in facing the unknown than facing actions like these on a daily basis.

Same here. Animal Cruelty, for some reason, initiates a stronger reaction. I've knocked someone's lights out before for the mistreatment of a stray dog.

I was honestly more fascinated than appalled at that video. I deal with death and dead things fairly often, but it's rare to see something like that.

The reason it doesn't "shake the very fiber of (my) being" or however you want to try and paint that is that I'm able to compartmentalize those sorts of things and put them in perspective. Yes, if those were my kids/younger siblings/etc. I'd feel horror and outrage and all that, but they're not, and I know they're not. Emotions are valuable, and you'll never hear me claim otherwise, but giving a kneejerk anger response to this (something I can't actually do something about) is not only pointless, but ultimately frustrating.

Don't go around painting people as bad just because you personalize things a bit too much.
