I think it's funny that so many people are complaining, it's a teaser for a film coming out next summer that they are filming right now.

C'mon guys... Less is the new More!!!

I just want to see Ledger in action before I damn this movie to hell. I'm not happy with how the Joker looks, but I am not going to write off Nolan.

Announcement trailers don't usually have scenes in them and not every movie has announcement trailers, BB didn't have one. Believe me, what we saw wasn't the teaser trailer.

I hear ya, Nivek. Hell, it's not even that big of a deal. I download the hi-res one, watch it a few times, stick it in a folder on my hard drive and that's it.

Thre problem is that it is amateurish. Fans can (and have) done better. You can show little and still have it be great/universally praised.

Sounded like one person said starting tonight............and a different person said "man of my word"....if its heath saying both...very impressive

I think they just cut up that dialogue to make it shorter which is why the voice sounds a little off between sentences.. Its sounds like "Starting tonight" , "people will die" and "I'm a man of my word" are all spaced throughout that particular narrative but not all in one line.

I agree. Sounds very strange, those 3 phrases. It is reminiscent of Jack in '89. I don't know how to feel about it, but it could also be the ****ty quality of the current ones on the web right now. Either way, it looks awesome. Bale and Caine have great dialogue, I just hope his laugh isn't as deep as his voice is.

I absolutely LOVED the TEASER- because that is exactly what it did- TEASED US!!!

This "announcement" teaser did exactly what it supposed to do. It had dialog about what direction the movie was going in and it had the Joker's laugh.

Now- i may be slightly demented, but i recall hordes of people on this MB claiming that all they wanted to hear was Joker's laugh with this teaser. Well?!?!?!? we got it!!! and it sounds great!!! completely new and unique- it isn't Nicholson, Hamill, or keaton from Beetlejuice... it is really creepy and the fact that he is taking Harvey Dents campaign slogan "I am a man of my word" and making fun of it shows us a taste of his sense of humor.

Awesome TEASE!!! Can't wait for December.

the teaser was moody, stark, minimal, powerful, scary, tense. It sets up the film perfectly narratively. Just cos it doesn't have clips doesn't make it weak or rushed ... it builds even more tension and anticipation and mystery because it is so claustropohobic and abstract, and the best film campaigns emerge slowly from the shadows..they don't do what everyone else does. - this is different and will be powerful in theatres. It will have more impact in theatres because it is so simple and intense. Its not for youtube, its for a big dark room of unsuspecting people. Maybe when the kickass trailer with clips arrives people will appreciate this moody first salvo .. i do, and i respect that for the first time i'm hearing a hardcore dark Joker in a Batman vs Joker movie. ****.. even Bruce and Alfred sound a bit rattled by the presence of this new breed of psycho mass murdering criminal. Im hyped to high ****ing heaven.

You know as well as I do that even if they did show footage people would be *****ing about that as well. I just hate that the vocal minority that complain about things like this seem like the majority of Batman fans due to their constant whining.

I also think that the few words spoken reveal much of the themes in the movie with little effort. It gives the people a good picture of the direction, especially the "escalation theme", and that Joker is one son of a *****, who doesnt like to dance to Prince songs.
