The Third Amendment Is Still Relevant, Dang it

Sadly sounds legitimate.

I hope he takes as much money from those *******s as he can.

I'm disappointed that the article didnt have an official police response to the lawsuit.

Man, that is one messed up story! I'd also like to hear what the official police response to that is. Looks like those cops are in some deep s*** over this. Totally in the wrong.

That said...
F***ing cops, man.
Comments like this really piss me off! It makes the assumption that all cops are like these when, we all know, they are not. Sadly, the stories about all of the good things cops do, never really make the news. Only the bad. And then people like you jump all over it and act like this is all the police do all day. Please.

The thing is, while it's true that not every police officer is a bad person, and in fact most of them are basically decent people just doing their jobs, problems like this aren't simply the result of a few bad apples. They're allowed to happen because of the ****** and broken ways these organizations are administrated, regulated, and funded. Most police officers are decent people, but it's totally legitimate to be frustrated with the institution of American law enforcement, because the piss poor way that institution is run is why this stuff happens, not just "a few bad cops."

There are about 800,000 police in this country. It's beyond unfair to lump the majority with those who would abuse their power. Also, not every police department is broken. Again, it's a case of all of the focus being put on the small percentage of bad incidents and next to none being put on the good ones.

You have a good point about the number of cops overall versus the number of abusive ones.

However I'd say there's so much focus on the bad incidents because they deserve to be focused on.

Oh, I agree that there needs to be a focus on the bad incidents however, we can't allow them to overshadow the good. Otherwise, it perpetuates this idea that all cops are corrupt.
