New issue out this week...

I dont want to give away anything, but all i can say is; American Eagle is my new hero! :word:

He needs his own book, asap!

I wont spoil anything either, I'll just say this:
everything falls apart. This is their bloodiest mission so far. And what Gargan Venom does to the Steel Spider actually makes him look fiercer than Brock Venom ever before. If only Gargan as Venom stays this hardcore in the long run, then maybe I'll accept him fully as Venom.

the spoiler tag above is just another of my Gargan/Brock comparisons and doesn't spoil anything really, but just in case, I used spoiler tags.

I know. Brock always threatened on that level...Gargan actually DID it. :sym:

ok I just finished reading issue 115 and...

wow, Gargan Venom is even crazier than Brock Venom!

eating the steel spider's left arm, but his "We're not allowed to kill you. You little jerk. But I can do everything up to kill you!" was awesome

American Eagle was cool too. He kicked
Bullseye
's ass pretty good

I definitely agree. American Eagle was balls to the wall intense in this issue and by the end of this issue he truly is my new hero as well, haha!

This issue, overall, was just freakin' fantastic. Great moments with Venom and we're starting to get a big swing between Gargan's version and Brock's version. FINALLY. It only took a FEW YEARS! :oldrazz:

But, man, how about Deodato's artwork, huh? Whew. He's on his game and I can't be more pleased with the artwork in this book. It's after reading books like this that I have to laugh hysterically to myself at these posters on this board who bad mouth Marvel all the time about not having good books...because they're ignornace is just hilarious.

Ok...Major Spoilers ahead.....Stop reading here if you dont want spoilers...you have been warned :cmad:...

What the hell? Bullseye, paralyzed? It wouldn't be such a bad idea if not for 2 things...1. It's already been done, and 2. It is now pretty much impossible for him to be paralyzed.

In the 80's, during Frank Millers run, Bullseye got paralyzed, ended up going to the far east, got an adamantium laced/plated spinal column, and got better. So getting punched by American Eagle should not have been able to paralyze him, even if he was getting shocked by nano-whatsits at the time...

Go back and read it again.

I'll use tags for this part....

The doctor didn't say he'd be paralyzed. The only thing the doctor was positive about was that Bullseye lost his ability to use speech

But, if I were you, I'd go read those last couple of pages over again. That's not what happened.

The current damage is neurological, not due to any bone damage...it's supposedly not permanent either.

I can't resist. SPOILERS!!!

How far off do you think we are from seeing Osborn snapping and suiting up as the Goblin?

Anyone else think Moonstone will get the brunt of Osborn's snapping?

There's DEFINITELY a confrontation building...

What do you guys think will happen to Bullseye and Venom?

It appears to me that they'll both return with absolutely no changes....Since Venom is in the upcoming issues, the stab apparently didnt do much...Unless it's a new host.
With Bullseye? It appears their operation will just bring him back to normal...Unless it's the sybmiote on Bullseye...:) That would be absolutely stunning...But will never happen :(

Macs fine, he has a slight healing factor and enhanced metabolism to help him along the way along with some enhanced durability and the symbiote can heal and protect from almost any injury.

Bullseye should come back fine too, and your symbiote thing could potentially happen but I doubt it would stick.

Really? Swordsman stabbing right through Gargan had a huge dramatic effect. It's sad to think that wont have any real change... I thought Bullseye with the sybmiote would be fantastic, mainly because the sybmiote thrives on slaughtering...And we all know Bullseye does as well. I just it's just a dream of mine to see that occur. Althought he's most likely going to just return as normal....A change would be nice though.

Oh, they might have words after that and gargan isn't nearly as nice as American Eagle, but I've seen a brock venom take worse and live so a Mac venom should be fine.

The symbiote doesn't actually thrive on slaughtering. It's basically a disgruntled lover with a major axe to grind. If you go back you'd see it was actually exiled because it wasn't willing to just randomly kill and eat things. I would say the mental effects somehow manipulated some of the symbiote making it a bit more drastic, but we'll see how it plays out. I honestly don't think bullseye would interest the symbiote much past a certian point. They share obsessive personalities, but that's about it, and really the symbiote is still a child emotionally, learning and growing over time.

Sorry, didn't mean it "required" killing to survive. Just that it seems to enjoy it...As we've seen with Eddie (the recent issue of Spec Spider-Man), Carnage, and the sybmiote saying how Gargan was too "weak".

That's interesting though...I didn't know that about this sybmiote's past.

Most don't if you want to get a good feel of where the symbiote is coming from in Secret Wars the symbiote (until that point it was a parasite) was imprisoned in battle world because it didn't want to be like the rest of its race and just eat it's host alive, then check out Web#1, to see it when it first learns emotions. (It's first chosen act based on emotions is to save Pete's life directly after Pete had scorned and almost killed it). And for the best reasoning why the symbiote is now twisted check out the monologue in Reign #4 (I know it's alternate reality), and you really get the feeling why the symbiote was basically a child betrayed at every turn and made into a monster.

The carnage symbiote seems more like the rest of it's race with the exception it doesn't seem to take over cleatus' mind and eat away at his lifeforce, and I think the symbiote in spec was more an manisfestation of Brock's insanity and guilt.
