Most shows and movies nowadays tend to go with the assumption that most nerd/hipster types are just as snobby to others that aren't of their ilk as jocks are.

Yeah, the title of the movie does not really work, whgat does the term 'Jocks' mean? It doesn't mean, 'popular good looking guys who are into sports', what it really means is 'popular good looking guys who are into sports who abuse their power and bully the kids who are at school to do well, and whom they are jealous of due to an inferiority complex, as the 'nerds' do better in class.'
and the word 'Revenge' means to come back at someone/people who have wronged you first, so by definition, it's the 'Jocks' who come at you first, so they can't have revenge, all it is is more bs from the Jocks if they strike again at the nerds.

This will undoubtabley be more unfunny, predictable stuff, how many comedies are made that are actually unpredictable and funny? The only one I can think of in recent times is Superbad. Sci-fi movies, comic book movies...they all have a better chance of being good than these types of movies, comedy is hardest to write, and as a result these types of films either go for jokes you have heard a million times before, and they go for lowest common denominator crap.

edit: I somehow get the feeling I won't be caught offguard by an unpredictable comedy for at least another few years, so when a 'superbad' hits, you would be as well to enjoy that small comedic victory while you can, cause chances are you won't be getting any others.

With all the bullying we are going to do, and if the nerds commit suicide, and it ends up on the news then, it's all their fault for being not being a holes like we are! The victimizers are winning yeah, the bullies need sympathy too! We need to take down the smarter more talented than us, because us beating up on them is our jealousy and our insecurity and being threatened by their intellectual superiority and talents! A movie like this will hurt more people. There is already a big problem in schools, if you haven't noticed lately on the news. This film will excuse the bullies actions even more within the schools. What I've experienced is that bullies will take someone down that is gifted without regard just because they are jealous, whether or not the nerds gifts will make the world a better place or not. All that matters to bully is that there is a person out there better than them they will take them down because they are threatened by them, someone can't be better than them, if it threatens their insecurities, talk about selfish! This is just confirming to me that world is becoming an even more backwards place!

Mamma mia, the generalizing in here. Jock is defined simply as "athlete" or "male athlete." Not "jerk who pushes people down and makes them eat boogers."

Nowhere does it say that they picked on the nerdy kids or were a-holes. It's like you saw the word "jock" and raged out. How do you know the nerdy kids weren't jerks?

I guess a lot of people in this thread got bullied in school or something. Now, I don't know what the EXACT concept/plot of the movie is, but maybe the "jocks" are seeking "revenge" because the "nerds" have always talked down to/about them like the were uneducated meatheads. It'll be nice to see some of the smart kids played as the jerk for once. I actually do see this go both ways at the high school I work at. We don't have any real bullying issues, but you do see people kind of picking on each other back and forth, and a lot of the time it is the "nerdier" kids basically insulting some of the other kids in ways they either don't understand or take a second to figure out.

Dude, every bullied nerd should have this diatribe printed onto a t-shirt and they should wear them proudly in front of the cinema, well, the ones who are bullied for being big fatties anyway, you could do more abridged versions, a line or two, for the spotty/big nosed/big eared/braces wearing ones t-shirts.

Guys the joke of the film, Im assuming, is that really the jocks are just mad that nerds are now running them or treating them bad. Probably by the end of the film theyll have some touching moments when the jocks admit that they were d**ks back in the day

Some people saying that this is going to make bullying worse are blowing things WAY out of proportion
