The Tourist

Very odd turn of events....I like it though.

This sounds awesome.

Cuaron + Depp + Jolie = possible win

Jolie totally ruins this for me :csad:

From cruise and theron to Depp and Jolie

From cruise and theron to Depp and Jolie

Ooh, this is the second movie that Tom Cruise dropped out and Angelina Jolie came on. Granted, she didn't take on the leading role like she did for Salt, but she has that big star power working for her.

She and Depp will be duking it out for top billing, I bet.

Oh, Damn. This is starting to get alot more interesting.

McQuarrie doing rewrites and Cauron onto directing? God yes.

Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck is back to direct The Tourist.
Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck (The Lives of Others) has returned to direct spy thriller The Tourist after exiting the project last fall over creative differences.

Johhny Depp will play an American tourist drawn into a web of intrigue by a female Interpol agent (Angelina Jolie) who is attempting to locate a criminal who was once her lover.

Julian Fellowes wrote the original script while Christopher McQuarrie and Jeffrey Nachmanoff did rewrites.

The Columbia Pictures remake of the 2005 French thriller Anthony Zimmer will start shooting this spring.

I wonder what happened to Cuaron. I thought he was going to helm this.

'Tourist' rounds out cast
Paul Bettany, Rufus Sewell join romantic thriller

By MARC GRASER, DAVE MCNARY

Paul Bettany and Rufus Sewell have joined the cast of romantic thriller "The Tourist," starring Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp.
Directed by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, "The Tourist" is produced by GK Films in association with Spyglass, and is produced by Graham King, Tim Headington, Gary Barber, Roger Birnbaum and Jonathan Glickman.

"The Tourist" is shooting on location in Venice, Italy. Sony will distribute the film.

Bettany's recent credits include "Legion," "The Young Victoria" and "Creation." Sewell was recently seen in Wes Craven's segment of "Paris je t'aime," Michael Apted's "Amazing Grace" and Nancy Meyer's "The Holiday."

"The Tourist" is written by Julian Fellowes, Christopher McQuarrie and Jeffrey Nachmanoff. Story revolves around an American tourist visiting Italy to mend a broken heart who is caught in a whirlwind of intrigue and danger when he pursues a romance with a woman who deliberately crosses his path.

Studio Canal is also a partner on the production.

"The Tourist" is von Donnersmarck's first movie since he won the foreign-language film Oscar for "The Lives of Others" in 2006.

December 10? That's really pushing the short post-production schedule, especially since it shot earlier this summer. Oh well, if it doesn't require extensive CGI I suppose Sony could afford to push it out in time for Oscar consideration.

I think he's also chubbier than usual. Probably goes with what kind of character he's playing.

Yeah, this could be a hit. Jolie and Depp in a romance/spy film? That's box office success right there. Depending on the trailer that is.

this is a fake beard on Depp right?

because he doesnt have dense hair on hes face.
