The ushering in of the 12th Imam (Does Mahmoud Ahmadinejad want the Apocolypse?)

That makes a lot of sense.

This is not your first shot at Shiite Muslims.

:whatever:

So the truth comes out...

you should very easily be able to show me where I have taken "shots" at shiite muslims then.

Go ahead...

This was my first response to you.

Not really shots, it was my mistake and I apologize, I did not give extra though to previous post.

So because I bolded text that I felt was important to the story for those who just want to "brush through it" means I'm paranoid???

That makes a lot of sense

From that, you seem paranoid.

I like your selective choose what words to believe from the politician, here you think it's just him appealing to his "base" and consider it rubbish, whereas two quotes down you take stock in what he says about his uranium enrichment program.

That's because it's not dogmatic chest-thumping. Iran is becoming increasingly liberal by the day and I don't think Ahmedinejad or even Khomeini has the power to put the entire existence of the country on the line for some doomsday prophecy.

Yeah, I mean radical Shiites aren't really a threat...
:rolleyes:x10,000

Yeah, and out of those, how many are elected leaders of a country?

His predecessor Kohmami (s/p?) also said (paraphrased) "It doesn't matter if Iran is destroyed, just as long as Islam is victorious".

Khomeini is the Grand Ayatollah of Iran right now, not Ahmedinejad's predecessor. For Christ's sake man, don't gobble up all this hot air like a Thanksgiving turkey and instead go do some objective research.

Once again though, I have to point out your selective believing what this man says.
If he says something like "Death to the Jews", then you believe he's just doing it to appeal to the mullahs, whereas if he says "our uranium enrichment program is for peaceful purposes only" you believe it.

That's because soon after his "Israel should be wiped off the map" comment, he has become increasingly docile, with a recent quote where he states "Iran is not a threat to the Zionist regime". Of course, you might write it off as political bluff, but consider this - how unbecoming are such self-preservatory statements from someone whom you are convinced of being a suicidal religious fanatic. If I were truly convinced of being some chosen forerunner to bring about death and destruction upon the infidels even if it means his own eradication, no way in hell would I bother with the kind of apologetic crap Ahmedinejad has been spewing about lately.

I'm not saying we should bomb Iran, but I'm defenantly not saying we should take this man lightly.

I say Americans should let Iran's Jewish neighbour handle this. Their intelligence agencies are competent enough to keep close tabs on Iran's nuclear program and in case they do foresee Iran aiming to destroy Israel, the "Zionists" have enough firepower to turn their enemy into a crater.
