Trailer for the Christmas special is online. Looks great.

Only thing I don't get is why Netflix waits SO long to promote their stuff. They released the trailer a week before the episode premieres. If they wonder why buzz around some of their shows dies, this is likely a big reason.

I agree, but I'm less bothered due to it just being the special. If they drop the S2 trailer only a week before that hits, then I'll be pissed.

The birthday party sequence looked like it was a series of absolute blasts to shoot, you could see they were having a lot of fun.... and I couldn't help but laugh when the orgy sequence showed the entire rabble inside the cubicle...

Also couldn't believe they made such a blatant reference to the change in Capheus actor.

Gotta say, with all the threads started in this for season two... got a horrible gut feeling that not all the gang will survive the season. too many big conflicts going on for everyone (inside and outside the cluster) to survive imho

I watched the Christmas special, its official, I am in love with these characters. In fact, this may sound crazy but I find myself not even interested in the main "plot" of the story, I'm just enjoying seeing each of these characters' slices of life and seeing how the Sense8's help out their "siblings." Those "team up" moments always gets me in the feels.

I thought it was good but if there was ever too much character development this was it- it's like all the character development missing from Jupiter Ascending and the Matrix Sequels was packed into this.

There were some beautiful beautiful sequences though.

Great to be back with these characters, it's so ****ing life affirming it's insane. Though I do confess Kala's stuff was a huge slog when everyone else's stories where more interesting. Lito and his mum was some of the most genuinely touching TV ever.

Also loving Agent Smith Bendix. Both him and Mr Whispers I want to punch, which makes for some good villainy.

Very risky move Netflix.... VERY risky. I hope they stop doing this in the future. the show works so well partly down the relationships the cast have with each other. would be moronic in the extreme to risk letting any of them go for no good reason.
