Is the cast is too young. I thought they were middle age superheroes past their prime?
Like the 31, 32 year old Hugh Jackman was when he got cast as Wolverine?
Just two Australian movies and some TV/theatre work to his name work
Or the 26 year old Brandon Routh was when he got cast as Superman?
Read any thread in this forum, and you will read that its easier to make younger people look older than older people look younger. Its true.
Couldn't they cast different actors for the flash-back/flash-forward roles like in Superman the Movie and avoid cheesy old people make up all together?

Wait, so make-up is cheesy now? Once again, you've topped yourself. It's not that hard to make people appear older without looking "cheesy". You're really reaching for things to complain about.
Bad examples.
The way they wrote X-men, Wolverine's age wasn't a factor. As long as he was 10 years older than Rogue it was fine. We already know Watchmen is supposed to be much closer to the source material.
Routh looked like a kid compared to Christopher Reeve.
And Ozy isn't supposed to look like someone who's in college. He had a lengthy past as superhero before he reaches his status.
Don't get me wrong. I think these actor have the perfect features. But some of them look like teenagers when they should be playing mid-thirty superheros who retired early.

Well I suppose its a better route than an unknown who becomes "The Smartest Man in the World" instead of Jude Law just being a *****e in Antarctica.
