I am pissed off. Really pissed off. I picked up the first two issues of this masterpiece the other day and was blown away. It was the best comic I had read in ages, and with Eternals coming to a (so-so) end, I was looking forward to picking up a new series. Now I find out it was cancelled back in 2006. Why? There is piles and piles of absolute crap on shelves all across America's comic book stores, and one of the few gems only gets five issues before they throw in the towel? Disgraceful.:cmad:

No clue what you're talking about.

It only sold about 5 issues, you can't expect them to keep publishing it.

I'm not just pissed at the company. I'm pissed at the culture in general. This is a book that should have easily become a hit. People talk about Superman Red Sun as if it was somekind of a godsend, but these few issues are at least ten times better, from story to writing to composition. Why was there no interest generated for this book? I don't remember seeing any buzz (perhaps because it wasn't nearly as generic as the stuff that gets huge advertising campaigns) and where was the word of mouth? Still, Wildsotrm can't get off without some harsh words because it was only supposed to be a miniseries, it had three more issues left at most. Any publisher should have been able to see that the story was good enough to let it finish and then see what you could do with it as a TPB. But instead they just left it to die and that is a terrible loss.

So your favorite Allegedly underrated comic is getting canceled, welcome to the world of a comic book fan.

Yeah, that happens so often for me, I've stopped caring. Just move on to the next one.

And I bought the first two issues of Winter Men, and I gotta tell you, I came away with a completly different view of the book. I thought it sucked balls. I'm interested in finding out what you thought was so good about it.
