The Witcher 3

There are rumors now that the new Arkham will have the same release date for The Witcher 3. If true, you'd think the Witcher would have to move. Hopefully they move it forward and not back.

A link to the spoilers please?

Oh man...my ****ing wallet is already crying at the prospect. I'm already down for the CE for Witcher 3. And you know there's going to be one for Arkham...oh man...my wallet ...

Which translations are you reading? I asked around, and apparently there's a book missing in the sequence we've got here in the states.

The mass market release, from Orbit (Publisher). And yes, the book missing is The Sword of Destiny, which is a collection of short stories like 'The Last Wish'. I think most people were expecting it to have already been translated. But, it sure looks like if it does...it'll probably be the final one that get's translated.

And, I just finished re-reading 'The Last Wish'. Man, that is a really damn good book. The juxtaposition of the short stories, and the flow are still great to me. There's some spots where conversations with non-essential characters go on a little too long, but whatever. There are some damn good stories in that book. I've started re-reading 'Blood of Elves', and already bought 'Time of Contempt'. I'll probably buy 'Baptism of Fire' since it was already released in March.

I'll hold off until I get through 'Contempt', atleast, but I'm kind of remembering why some people don't like Yennefer. I remember Triss showing up in the first book, and after falling for her in Witcher 2...I think I might be in Triss' camp if I had to choose right now.

GOG.com is rolling out a new wave of invites to its closed beta for The Witcher: Adventure Game, a flurry of Twitter traffic indicates. The Witcher: Adventure Game began life as a board game inspired by developer CD Projekt Red's popular RPG series – itself an adaptation of a Polish novel series.

Though the beta originally began in July, invites were limited to pre-order customers of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt; access is now being doled out to users that registered on GOG.com's Galaxy website. Registration is still open.

"The purpose of the beta is to test both the game as well as GOG Galaxy infrastructure powering the online portion of it," an email to beta testers reveals. The beta is available on PC and Mac. GOG Galaxy, announced prior to E3 2014, is a Steam-like client which allows players to access their game libraries, earn achievements and can be used to connect with others for multiplayer gaming action. During its announcement, GOG.com bosses promised the online functionality of the client is completely optional, reenforcing its commitment to DRM-free game distribution.

Beta play is limited to online play only, though the final product is expected to feature a "hot seat" mode and "vs AI" modes. Check out a closer look to the board game version of The Witcher: Adventure Game in the gallery below.

Besides TW3: The Wild Hunt being at gamescom next week and CDPRED constantly screening 30min chunks of gameplay footage in some sort of cinema-like showroom for EVERYONE there's also this:
Finally, we have some great news for the folks who won’t be able to make it to Germany. Starting next week we will be revealing that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt gameplay footage all of you have been asking about, so be sure to keep your eyes glued to our website and social media as there will be a lot of treats in store for them.

I'm not sure I even wanna see any new gameplay. I couldn't get any more excited and watching any new gameplay or trailer is just gonna make the wait that much worse

The Voice of Geralt Saves The Day

The San Diego Comic-Con event for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, was nearly ruined when voice-over failed to play during the gameplay demo. Luckily, Geralt voice actor Doug Cockle was there to save the day.

Pretty cool how something that could have been a disaster wound up being something enjoyable to the fans on hand for the panel. The link also has a video up on youtube of the whole panel.

I'm hoping they'll have a panel at NYCC. I'd easily make time for to catch it.

So if you guys think you will get the choice in the game between Yennefer and Triss...who would you choose? I mean if you had to choose between the two, do you pick Geralt's one true love, Yennefer, or the manipulative but smoking hot redhead Triss Merigold?

Haha smokin hot red head.

I liked Triss a lot through the course of the last game, I mean my playthroughs were basically just hurried attempts to find Triss, so I'm hoping options to continue that exist in this game.

Man...after reading 'Blood of Elves', 'Time of Contempt' and 'Baptism of Fire'...it's really giving me goosebumps to see Ciri and Yennefer brought to life through those images.
