The Worst TV Theme Songs

I find most TV theme songs annoying, whether they're written specifically for the show or not, but I think I may have found the worst one of them all. I've recently watched a few episodes of "The L Word" with a friend of mine recently and my God, the opening theme on that show is one of the most excruciating pieces of musical excrement I've ever heard. It literally causes me PAIN when I hear it. Nothing whatsoever is good about it; it's just loud and irritating schlock. The show itself is actually pretty good, but that theme song could make anyone want to chuck their TV out of a 15-story window. I believe it's called "The Way That We Live." I'm not sure who performs it, but I hope that the band never goes anywhere and spends the rest of its days playing nursing home gigs and birthday parties.

Other ones I hate:

The "Somebody Save Me" song from Smallville

The "Full House" theme

The "Law & Order" theme (I think I only hate this one because there is always an episode of Law & Order, Law & Order SVU or Law & Order CI on some channel 24 hours a day, and thus when I channel surf, I constantly come across it)

Good call on the MASH theme. It was depressing. That may be the reason I could never watch that show either. Well, that and the fact that Alan Alda makes me want to punt kittens off bridges.

I know the Sharks have some fans, but I always saw them as a tired, 90's "X-Treme" attempt to imitate the success of Ninja Turtles, and I guess it worked to a minor degree as the show lasted beyond a season. I just hated the theme. "That's Jawsome!" or "Kick some serious fin!" still haunt my dreams.

Then there was a theme that at least was proper advertising; the crappy theme to the crappy DOUBLE DRAGONS cartoon that turned Jimmy & Billy Lee into toy-sellin' superheroes:

The Dukes of Hazzard: The only thing worse than the acting on this show is the writing. The only thing worse than the writing is the theme.

The Love Boat: It's been something like 25 years since it was on but I still want to slap my hands to my ears when I see someone watching a rerun.

I dont quite get all the Smallville theme hating... what's so awful about it? It's a just a song, it's not like the band raped your family and burned your house to the ground... right?

Alot of people consider All in the Family a classic. I just find it to be very very annoying.
