The Wrestling Thread Is Here For Talent, Not Batista!

As I said before, If ANY "Mcmahon guy" had Bryan's level of popularity then WWE wouldnt even give us a case to be having this conversation right now.

They would ****ing push him like crazy right now.

The only mid card opponent I want Bryan to face at Wrestlemania 30 if he's not going to get a main event push is against this guy:

The WWE changed their plans for Bryan and the Wyatt Family because of his popularity. How does that equate to them ignoring how the fans respond to him?

Del Rio will stop Batista from winning the Rumble. Its his...you know the rest. ;)

It would be so funny if that was finally the moment that gets him over with the smarks and endears him to the fans. :funny:

Simple, it was just an attempt to shut us up for the time being.

People probably said the same thing about Dolph Ziggler when he cashed in the briefcase but look at how they are treating him now. Never mind that the audience STILL supports him too.

Hopefully Triple H puts Punk over and I think he will.

I worry about Punk's relationship with the WWE sometimes. He seemingly is more than ready to move on from wrestling and has one foot already out the door.

I love the idea of Punk vs HHH. Another match between them is long overdue. But Punk for the reasons above isn't afraid to speak openly on the company. HHH may decide not to put him over and Punk could be OK with it as a FU, I'm leaving anyway. Punk is probably more proud of things on his resume than having a win over Trips.

Dolph screwed himself over with stupid behavior and comments.

Besides the fact that nothing he said was as bad as things Batista, Orton, and even Punk has said in public that's terrible business ethics.

If they wanted to punish him for misconduct then they should have cut his pay like a PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS would do.

But hell, look at the way he was booked before those comments, still no different than how he's booked now.

Which goes back to my point that if ANY "Mcmahon guy" was in Bryan or Ziggler's situations with the audience, we WOULD NOT be having this conversation.

I see it going two ways, but each having the same outcomes:

1.) I see Punk lasting until the middle portion and getting jumped by someone from The Authority(probably Kane) and getting eliminated ala Shawn Michaels in 2006.

2.) Punk makes it to the final 4/3 and the same thing happens.

:csad:

So when is the WWE announcing that Hulk Hogan is hosting Wrestlemania 30?

I will mark when "Real American" starts playing again in the WWE. It's a theme that is missed in the WWE.

He was actually in the middle of a decent push.

More than anything, the concussion derailed Ziggler's push.

He was actually in the middle of a decent push. Plus, he suffered another concussion.

Because they were dumb enough to put him in the ring with a safety hazard that cant wrestle for sh**t like Ryback.

But he was never really in the middle of a decent push because he never got an real promo time, any real focus and was never protected in the ring. I mean he jobbed to f**cking Jack Swagger shortly after becoming Champion.

^ It didn't help, but he was being 'depushed' because of his comments (this was just recently confirmed).

Maybe deep down, WWE is worried when they look at Bryan and they see him as the new Chris Benoit.

None of his comments deserved this huge drama the higher ups supposedly had, unless they're really immature or Orton had a hissy fit again. Like others said, nothing he said isn't something that guys like Punk have said dozens of times before.

Comments they would have let ANY "Mcmahon guy" get away with.

This. If Cena said the same about Orton before the Rumble, Cena's "punishment" would be that he would enter the Rumble at #2

HHH should come out himself and eliminate Punk, I really hope we get a similar repeat of Royal Rumble 98 where Austin (this time it would be Punk) was alone in the ring just waiting for the next no to come in.
