The Wrestling Thread Is Here For Talent, Not Batista!

How is Bryan vs. Sheamus not a 'big match'?

I go back to what I said earlier: I think people complain just for the sake of complaining, especially when I read comments like the above.

I'm sorry, but this is BS.

Imagine Its 1998. Stone Cold is the biggest rising star in the company. Instead of having him face Shawn Michaels for the title and winning...they throw Stone Cold in a match with Cactus Jack.

Meanwhile, they take Shawn Michaels, one of their top guys...and puts him in a match with Kane.

Their main event...Ultimate Warrior waltzs in, wins the Rumble, and faces Ken Shamrock for the title.

Now does that sound dumb to you? Cause it sounds dumb to me. Imagine if WWE were as foolish then as they are now.

Maybe deep down, WWE is worried when they look at Bryan and they see him as the new Chris Benoit.

Hmm.....that's interesting. They do have similar skills. Hadn't thought of that before.

To be honest, as someone who has been a mark for him for 11 years, I thought that's how WWE would see Bryan as. But over the past 2 years, he has gotten over on a platform that WWE did not expect nor did they want.

It just drives me nuts that some people fool themselves and think WWE actually cares what their audience thinks when it comes to performers that dont fit their agenda.

Anyone who doesnt think there is no descrimination by WWE to certain performers have another thing coming.

Despite all the dirt sheet stories, i believe Brock vs Batista will be the ME at mania, you get two big hoss' that Vince loves and it would get the most main stream media

Bingo.

However, I don't think Bryan will go off the deep end like Benoit did when Bryan is 40.

It's not like he was going to win anyways. :o

It'll be a damn travesty if Batista wins...........:csad:

heck, I'd rather Cena or Orton win than Batista.

at least they stayed with the company and bust their asses off week after week.

exactly my point!!

And to think, there are people that see Batista on a star level as The Rock.

Which is laughable, Batista returned after 4 years and STILL couldnt outpop Daniel Bryan even when WWE tried to skip over his entrance lol.

I'll ask another question for the Vince Mcmahon apologists: If WWE Brass gave two Sh***ts what we(Audience and Smarks alike) thought then why in the f**ck would they have overpushed Alberto Del Rio for so long?

A guy that didnt bring in viewers, didnt sell merchandise, didnt get cheered for or booed 99.9% etc, Somehow has become a 4 time World Champion. Has gotten a chance to hold the WHC as both face AND heel back to back for the bulk of 2013?

If it was anyone else, dude would have gotten depushed into jobber hell A LONG F***CKING TIME AGO.

They only care what the audience thinks when it is CONVENIENT FOR THEM.

I'm almost 100% sure though that people wont be seeing that movie for Batista's sake.

Probably my Doctor Who bias showing, but I'm looking forward to Guardians of The Galaxy JUST for Karen Gillan. :o

This is put perfectly.

You know what WWE's Brass Rings pushing talent and the planet Krypton have in common?? They don't exist....

He's not there yet. We'll see how that Superhero film of his does come Summerslam.

Rock is a versatile actor. Batista can only play a certain type of role. Even if Guardians reaches a billion dollars it's not going to make him a leading man. I like seeing him do movies but don't think he'll be the next Rock.

That being said Batista is winning the rumble tomorrow. It's a mistake but WWE doesn't make stars or let people invest in the new ones. Instead they panic and bring back old stars. It's a vicious cycle. I like seeing Rock and "part timers" come back as a fan. It just sucks when they kill a young stars momentum or brush then to the side. The benefit of bringing back someone from the past is to see new matches. Somehow we get repeats.

What could WCW have done to actually kill off WWF or at least still be alive today?,I think many agree that WCW screwed themselves in the end and I believe IF Hogan's ego didn't run wild and of course hire Russo or at least let him book unfiltered then the company could have been saved.

Just imagine the potential had WCW not let the nWo dominate the product so much and not have the group grow so large in members/Hogan interfere in his Starrcade match against Sting/the finger poke of doom not happen/book Bret Hart properly/have someone good filter Russo and then of course not spend so much money on unnecessary things,

Ted Turner selling and Time Warner not wanting to broadcast wrestling was a huge issue too but maybe that couple have been avoided by seeping to other cable companies or something
