Not good for Shameus. He got split open in his match with Ambrose, then landed awkwardly when it was his turn to visit Suplex City.

watching raw and I miss Rollins didn't really appreciate him when he was champ but Reigns does noting for me his promos are so dull and this once vs all crap was corny

Lesnar saved it for me but he will not show up again until actual rumble

I caught most of the US Title match during halftime of the football game. Not a bad match.

Read the summary for the rest of RAW, though, and it sounded pretty painful.

Congrats to Kalisto, New top underdog perhaps.

hmmm....yeah. I noticed that last part, too.

Watching the stone cold podcast with flair on the wwe network, pretty good!

Did you know Team Rude's and Team Warrior's interviews at Survivor Series 1989 were different on the VHS version compared to the Anthology / Network version? It was an interesting find for me.

In a sign of further relations between WWE and Evolve, William Regal is headed to the next Evolve Show Royal Rumble weekend and he's bringing Gable and Jordan with him.

WWE Superstars spoilers

WWE SmackDown spoilers

Smackdown spoilers from Lafayette, LA:

* Dean Ambrose says he wants a Last Man Standing match against Kevin Owens at the Rumble, but Sheamus interrupts. They almost get into it but Owens comes out an accepts the challenge. Owens and Sheamus attack Ambrose, but Neville makes the save.

* The Dudley Boyz defeat Luke Harper and Eric Rowan in a tables match, in what is said to be underwhelming. Strowman attacks the Dudleyz, tossing Bubba Ray through two tables, and D-Von through another after the match.

* Jojo is talking to new US Champion Kalisto, who says much like Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero, he'll thrive in the land of the giants.

* Social Outcasts are out to take on Jack Swagger, Zack Ryder, Goldust and Damien Sandow. Dallas hits his finish on Ryder for the win but accidentally kicks Slater off the ring.

* Kalisto vs. Alberto Del Rio for the US title is next. Wade Barrett comes and joins Del Rio at ringside. Del Rio submits Kalisto to become new United States Champion, thanks to an assist from Barrett.

* Becky Lynch defeats Brie Bella via submission (Disarmor).

* Dean Ambrose & Neville vs. Kevin Owens & Sheamus ends in a no contest after both teams end up outside the ring going at it. After the match Ambrose and Neville hit their finishers on Owens.

Well, that Smackdown sounds lackluster, but the Owens/Ambrose match announcement for the Rumble is a plus.

Kalisto. :csad:

I just think they really want Kalisto to get over as an underdog and thought having him win and lose the title so quickly would piss us off enough that we'd start really getting behind him.

Word is Cena was supposed to fight Del Rio at Rumble, but when news of his injury came up, they decided to put Kalisto in his spot after that Smackdown win.

What I'm assuming is that Kalisto won the title so they could start setting up this feud so that the match at Rumble feels like it has more stakes.

There's better ways of doing that though. Now no one is going to expect Del Rio to lose at the Rumble and assume he's holding the title until WM. This is where the lack of writing kills WWE. The can't properly build an interesting feud to save their lives. Del Rio vs Kalisto at RR won't hold anyone's attention now.

All that elevation Cena (and Owens to an extent) put into the US Title has already been lost.

Suicide / Manik got future endeavored by TNA. What was the world come to?

Does anybody really care about Kalisto? He does nothing for me.

To be fair, it's a feud they literally threw together overnight, so they haven't had much time to plan.

With that said, this is just like the Becky/Charlotte feud going on. I personally feel like Becky should have won the title by cheating at Rumble, but they've already used that finish, so I'm not so invested in that match either. More likely that Charlotte retains to drop the belt at Mania to Sasha Banks.

Banks Vs. Flair? Nice...

I would rather see Lynch win the title from Flair, and Banks (if she's not injured right now) in an undercard program against Naomi to separate herself from Team Bad. That sets up a Lynch/Banks program, which is ****ing money as far as I am concerned, with maybe the title going back and forth, but in the end Banks emerging victorious. I can see Banks as the new Trish Stratus, but even better (Banks is a better wrestler now than Stratus ever was).

I just feel like we're too close to Wrestlemania, and the big pop they like to give the fans would be to see Banks as champion.

The only thing that I see preventing that is the rumor, that Banks apparently debunked, that Sasha is injured and hasn't been on TV for a few weeks, unlike the month before where it seemed like they were setting up something with her.

Remember a couple of years ago when Bryan vs Wyatt stoled the show at the Rumble? seems like ages ago considering where both men are

Bray should be a monster heel champion by now but he is stuck wrestling the Dudleys

I think Bray has stagnated as a character, quite honestly. His promos sound great and he's a great speaker but I think he's so focused on using big words that loses sight of getting people emotionally invested in his feuds. He should study old school Jake Roberts promos. Jake was a great speaker but he knew how to boil down and simplify his promos so the common fan would understand/feel what he's trying to say. I think Bray isn't always very good at doing that.

Bray is boring in the ring and he cuts the same promo every single time. He has charisma but that only gets you so far.
