That would be awful, but he's a grown man and he should be the one to decide. He saw the same neurologist that worked the Super Bowl for the NFL last year, and he was cleared. All of his tests are coming back great, according to him. He understands the risks as well as anyone and if he wants to take those risks, that's his business.

WWE is just afraid of lawsuits and bad publicity.

It's WWE's right to keep him out of their ring for whatever reason they decide, but if they're not going to let him wrestle they should give him the opportunity to do so elsewhere.

If Daniel Bryan wants to leave that badly he can leave. From all we've been told it's not hard to leave WWE if you're really not happy. You hear sometimes that Vince will try to talk people out of leaving, but if you're steadfast on leaving he'll terminate your contract early (though the no compete will be in effect).

WWE isn't doing anything wrong with taking extreme precaution with Daniel Bryan. By Bryan's own admission there have been times where the company had to protect him from himself because he was trying to compete while injured.

Some fans online are cray cray.....reading people speculate on Balor winning the Rumble. Did I miss something? Vince still runs WWE, doesn't he? Balor is still unknown to many American fans, right?

We have had Vince give Rumble wins to guys the crowd didn't want to see win for the last couple years. I doubt that will change. Someone like Sheamus or Del Rio will win and probably get booed.

watching the 2006 Royal Rumble for giggles

weird time in talent for the WWE, brand split, Cruiserweight title still around

I really hope Owens and Ambrose have a Street Fight at the Rumble and steal the show.

Sting has been named as the first inductee into the 2016 Class of WWE's Hall Of Fame:

Given that his match against Seth Rollins might very well be his last, it's makes it look that much worse that Sting lost his debut match and only Wrestlemania match to HHH.

I wonder if Cody/Stardust will acknowledge the passing of David Bowie.

That's exactly what this rumor is: Bryan Danielson requesting his own release and being granted it as of January 18.

Again, I said WWE has every right to keep anyone they want out of their rings for any reason they want. But If Danielson wants to wrestle and there are promotions out there willing to let him do so, then that's what I want to see.

I'm sure liability is the main reason, but I have no doubt McMahon is also being a d*ck about not letting Bryan wrestle so talent that he favors such as Reigns will stop getting upstaged.

That thought had occurred to me. Vince McMahon would hate for Bryan Danielson's fans to hijack a terrible Reigns segment with "YES" chants while they're trying to build him for Wrestlemania.

Imagine what the current WWE would be like now if Bryan didnt have to give up the title. He'd have been given the CM Punk treatment. Champ but #2 guy. But damn, a Rollins/Bryan feud would be glorious.

Bad Luck Fale has signed a two year contract with New Japan.
They needed to lock him in as I believe Fale is one the outside recruiters for talent in NJPW. Don't quote me on that though.

I have no idea if this guy is legit, but someone claiming to work for WWE is reporting to Scott Keith that Daniel Bryan is about to be released. Of course it could be completely fabricated, but I could also see this being true, particularly with AJ Styles & co. on their way.

All he wants to do is wrestle. If WWE doesn't clear him by post-WM Raw, I don't think they'll ever let him at that point. They've tried to put him in other roles, but he's admittedly bad at them, such as becoming a coach at the Performance Center.

WWE should clear him, but with the lawsuits, I doubt it would happen. He's been cleared by two professional sports doctors. They just need him to go back to his more indy style, take out the stupid high risk moves and stay more grounded. He doesn't need to get himself over in that way anymore.

Once his contract is up, he'll go elsewhere, but I don't want to see die in the ring.

It sucks that they'll probably never let him wrestle again either.

Check out ROH 2008 and 2009. Tyler Black and Bryan Danielson (Seth Rollins and Daniel Bryan) worked about 16 matches together between January 2008 and May 2009 with all but one taking place in ROH (one in wXw).

Some were singles matches against each other, some were tag matches with them on opposite sides, some were tag matches with them on the same side, and some were four ways but they were all great.

That's a reach and it'd also be something unprecedented in WWE history. Given how little depth their roster currently has, if they felt Bryan could safely contribute they'd let him out there. They'd probably job him out to Reigns, but they wouldn't keep DB on the shelf for fear of chants that are already happening.

word on the street

American Alpha (Jason Jordan and Chad Gable) are backstage at RAW tonight

I anticipate Roman getting screwed at the Rumble by Triple H. The only question in my mind is whether that means they'll have a squash match at the next event, or if Triple H will hold the title until Mania

I think it'll be more likely that Lesnar wins the Rumble and faces Reigns at Mania though, since I doubt Triple H will wrestle more than one match in the next two months.
