Sci-Fi The X-Files - 6 Part Event Series

I believe Chris Carter hoped to have a film released in 2012 to coincide with the invasion, but alas it didn't happen. So maybe this series will explain why it didn't happen (or perhaps actually take place in 2012?).

Hopefully they'll explain it.

I suspect the various alien factions (I always lose track of them) have been in conflict thus resulting in a change of plans.

That would be a good explanation for the lack of colonization

I love reading through everyone's first episode memories.

Is the one with the ancient bugs in the forest the one where they make the victim hallucinate? Didn't that one end with a sort of twist on whether or not Mulder and Scully made it out alive or are still just hallucinating? Or did I just imagine that? :funny:

Another episode that I still remember to this day is that Scully-centric one about those paralyzed girls who turned out to be half angels.

I just started to rewatch this again but one of the episodes that still come to mind and gives me nightmares was that episode about the Peacock Family. I think the episode was called Home that episode just creeped me the hell out the 1st time I watched it. That was not the 1st X-Files episode I watched however I remember the episode of Ice where it was kinda like a Thing type of and I pretty much watched the rest of the episodes after that.

Are you talking about the one where the bugs glowed green in the dark? That was called "Darkness Falls". The episode where they are hallucinating is called "Field Trip". And there aren't any bugs involved in that episode I believe. It was caused by spores and they were trapped underground.

EDIT: Also, I think the Scully-centric episode you are referring to is called "All Souls"

I guess I need to start rewatching this on Netflix. It's been awhile since I've watched it.

I can't stand to watch it on Netflix. They have heavily edited it for international audiences. I watch it on Amazon Prime

I have both, but I'll probably watch it on Netflix. I still hate Amazon's format for TV shows. Why do I have to subscribe to every individual season? Why can't I just sub to an entire show? It's the main thing that drives me nuts about it. :cmad:

think maybe Scully's son, William, may be involved somehow?... he's about 13 or 14 right now...

Yeah I think it sucks too. That's originally how Netflix's setup was. I didn't like it there either.

I do believe so. I think he is/was the key to everything in the X-Files

Oh, you're right, it was spores! LOL I mixed it up with the bugs one. Anyway... I love that ep.

Both were good episodes I thought. I especially liked in "Field Trip" where Mulder hallucinated that he abducted an alien. "They abduct us, so I abducted him"

Your question got me thinking about episodes that stood out for me, I can never remember titles, just the story.

- The one with the killer elevator
- The one with the chameleon tree creatures
- The one where Mulder was on the old war sub

The first one is a little difficult to figure out because there have been tons of killers in elevators
"Detour"
"Apocrypha"

And it's official!!! CSM is coming back....ol' smokey!!

Other classic episodes

Guy who killed people in their sleep.
Guy who could hide himself in people's blind spot.

There was also a devil child episode in season 1 (I think) that was rated 18 which was genuinely scary.

how can THAT be?!?... he was blown to s**t by those fighter jets in that pueblo... no way he could have survived that... no ****ing way...

from carter's latest comments and reports it seems to me

this will be a mini x-files season with episodes 1,5,and 6 arc and episodes 2-4 stand alone or maybe episodes 1,2,5,and 6 arc and episodes 3 and 4 stand alone.

Carter is ignoring the season 10 comics

Skinner,Doggert, and Reyes may return depending on actors availability

Carter Is working on some way to bring back CSM

William and why the colonization didn't happen In 2012 are likely to be part of arc episodes.

I'd love to see Walter Skinner return, but I'm not too sure about bringing back Agents Doggett and Reyes...

if they bring CancerMan back, he'd better not be some kind of clone, but I don't see how he could have survived... and it better not be shown that the CancerMan killed in the pueblo was a clone of some kind... if they bring back CancerMan, they might as well bring back the Lone Gunmen, since they're dead as well... LOL......

as for William coming back, I'm for it, along with the explanation as to why the 2012 colonization never happened...

Skinner is back for sure. Dogget became likeable towards the end, but I didnt care much for Reyes. If they dont return its ok, but it would make sense for Dogget to be someone with rank within the FBI.

Now the real question is...will Xzibit return? lol

In all seriousness, CSM the Lone Gunmen deserve to return. Hell a Jeffrey Spender or Krycek return would be welcome too.

I also think the search for William will be the key point of the series.

Huh?

Though, now that you bring it up, I wonder if they'll get David Nutter back to direct any of these episodes.
Exactly what I was getting at, you perceptive chap you.:cool:

[BLACKOUT]I must have been drunk when I posted that :wow:[/BLACKOUT]
