Sci-Fi The X-Files - 6 Part Event Series

Yeah, I'm liking it a lot, too.

So is this on Sundays or Mondays?

CARTER EXPOSES THE CONSPIRACY BY THE ELITE!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fgj_wlW-Ty4

Has Chris Carter really exposed a real life conspiracy? If for some reason the six episodes are not able to be shown then it is probably true!

I thought this exactly.... everything they said, is believed to be true by a lot of people... people of all walks of life and profession.

I like a conspiracy, i spent years working them, or at least trying to work them out and well, it's as obvious a statement as you will ever get.

I've enjoyed it so far. It was fun to see the intro again after all these years.

The rest are supposed to air on Mondays.

The nun at the hospital reminded me of the actress who was Eve in season 1. Weird coincidence.
She looked familiar to me too, and after looking her up, she's Christine Willes from Reaper! She was the DMV lady who would transfer souls back to hell.

I also recognized the Gupta character played by Vik Sahay -- who was none other than Lester in Chuck!

There was also a (sort of) Hannibal reunion at last night's ep. :D

Abigail Hobbs and who else?

EDIT: Oh duh, Gillian. :funny: There were just soooo many recognizable guest stars in that ep I assumed you were talking about one of them.

Ratings have been quite something, both on premiere night and in the regular timeslot. Between that and Chris Carter and co. saying that the six episodes weren't intended to be a one time only thing, I would expect to see more X-Files in the future. I guess it'll be about when Duchovny and Anderson's schedules allow for it.

I'm liking it so far. But why did Sveta die? Isn't that suspect and not what the government wants? Plus she was gorgeous-sauce. :/

On to the second episode.

I won't be watching but i'm glad Lauren Ambrose is in this. She deserves more roles.

On to the second episode.

She knew the ( new ) truth about her abduction, that it was man made using E.T technology and not extraterrestrial.
The Gov and the Syndicate ( the shadow group that made a deal with the E.T in the previous show ) aren't involved, a new group has emerged, The Elite ( Mulder explained it ).

The baby crawling out of the 'c-section' was awesome.

So if I understand it, all the alien stuff and mythology from the original series and movie is real, it's just that it was all a distraction so people wouldn't realize the government was creating alien human hybrids? Still don't understand how CSM fits in, as well as the black oil stuff from the movie, but I'm guessing they probably won't address the latter.

This is my understanding:

- Aliens DO exist.
- Shadowy organization is experimenting on humans and using/hiding alien tech; covers their tracks by saying its just aliens doing all of this.
- Shadowy organization plans to start an overthrow of USA (and world?) beginning in 2012; covers their tracks by saying it's an alien invasion instead.
- When aliens didn't invade in 2012, they could use that to discredit anyone who was following their breadcrumbs, while they continue on with their plans.

The neat things about this new series is that it seems to be catching up to the internet age with conspiracy theories. There actually is a conspiracy theory that the government would use holograms and/or false crafts to see like an invasion. It's fairly recent, if I'm remembering. Kind of a fear-mongering control via this situation.

Let alone all the interconnected things like fast food to climate change being factors in our control. Conspiracy theories galore.

Second episode was really good. My hopes are high for the remaining four

Can someone make this to an avvy size please???

For some reson it's not wanting to save. Every time I right click it's saying that it's a malicious file or something like that...
EDIT: I FINALLY got it to work haha

This was my favorite show in the 90s and early 2000s....I'm beyond thrilled that it's back

I'm also liking it so far, including seeing some Canadian actors from several of my favorite genre shows like Ryan Robbins, Aaron Douglas, etc. :woot:

Super happy with the show of course. The show is a smash hit basically. Lots of good reception and well its very high quality. 6 episodes only though so people will be left very hungry after they are done.

Man I'd give anything to have the x files back full time. Make it 5 seasons, say 13 episodes a season. Give Gillian and Duchovny any amount they ask for and give me back the one show that brought me so much pleasure.

Hear, hear.

I'd be cool wit Dogget and Reyes appearing for an episode.
