Since X3, I started to be interested in the careers of some of the actors from the movie, specially the young ones, like Ben Foster, Ellen Page, Anna Paquin... James Marsden too, and I've already seen a few films from them, and think I'll be seen most of their movies in the next months, and in some form, is a way to wait for X4.... and now, I was seeing James profile in imdb, and had the idea about a thread for talking about all the films from the actors of the trilogy, I think is a nice thread to comment our thoughts, favourites movies, make recommendations, some not very known movie, talk about future proyects, any query, critics, news, etc, etc.

So let's start! hahaha. :yay:

Im not sure if this should be here. Maybe in the movies/celeb section...

why not here? we're talking about x-men actor, not about celebs in general...

This could give more life to this board...

How about Jimmy in Hairspray?!? Loved the entire movie from start to finish.

(check out my sig and avy.)

because other then them being in x-men, it has nothing to do with x-men really.
and sorry to say, but i dont think its really giving ''life'' to the boards. Most of the new threads are pretty random, if i do say so myself.

btw, im probably gonna see hairspray today, i wanted to go opening day but i couldnt

I saw it twice in theaters. I can't remember the last time I just had fun at a movie like I did at the film's midnight showing.

Ive been wanting to see it for a really long time, since before they even had a cast.

James Marsden in Enchanted

I watched the Fountain yesterday. I thought it was a nice movie, until the end ruined it for me. I was waiting for an explanation, or a twist that never happened. Ok, it kinda happened, but in a very boring way.

Darkness is terrible. So is The Squid and The Whale. And Swordfish, and Hard Candy.

He looks really nice in that movie, I mean, the trailer and pics, definetly I want to see it too, seems really funny. I laughed when I saw the trailer, he singing and all of that, ahaha.

yeah darkness was a horrible movie.

I havent seen hard candy yet but i heard it was really disturbing

Batboy, if you think so many threads are random, and this won't give life to the boards, why do you have 4 comments here already? :whatever:

It doesn't show anything disturbing, it relies more on the idea of what she's doing, and, once you figure out the entire plot within 5 minutes she starts her torture, it really doesn't have any effect, since you know what she's actually doing.

This explanation was a bit confusing, I guess
Anyway, it's just horribly predictable.

Sadly the only other film I've seen staring an X-Men actor is Swordfish. :csad: Oh, and also the Faculty (but as I recall, Famke wasn't a major character).

I've seen a movie starring Hugh Jackman, about a prince who goes to the present time ... it wasn't a work of art, but rather sweet. Can't remember its title. The Prestige was visual and psychologically cool... the treatment received in an artistical way is something I admired. (Highly recommended, that's for sure) Van Helsing bleh, commertial... Scoop, I always loved Woody Allen's movies... as for characters he dubbed, in Happy Feet and Flushed Away- he didn't play an important role as the father in HF, but his hysterical voice for Roddy (I think that was the mouse's name) was hilarious. In that same movie Ian McKellen was the baddy, again, funny. Nothing really amazing, but it's always nice to hear his voice. Great performance, as everybody knows, in the Lord of the Rings... and I'm not sure if I should watch the DaVinci Code, cuz the majority of friends told me it's completely the opposite of the book. I don't know, what do you guys think?
He also dubbed as himself in the Simpsons, when the family visits England...
Halle Berry- the Flinstones, Catwoman, and Robots. I recommend none of them, heh.
As for Patrick Stewart, I only know him from the Simpsons (I recognised his voice instantly in "Homer, the Great", er I think :p ) and Frasier-he acts as a theatre boss attracted lovingly by Frasier.

In Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, James Fox acted great as Veruca's father, with his unique expression of... repugnance. A magical movie btw.
Finally, Kelsey Grammer... I basically "heard" him rather than acting... (making the exception of Cheers and Frasier, of course) The Simpsons (Sideshow Bob), Toy Story 2 (Stinky Pete) and Mickey's Runaway Brain. This last one I completely recommend it- full of quality, which makes you wonder why Disney doesn't make movies like this anymore.

And... that's about it.

I do believe that is Kate and Leopold (with Meg Ryan), La She Beast. ;) I've seen it too. Sweet movie.

god you really need to mind your own bussiness. If I post in this thread, oh well.big deal. It still is kind of pointless though. I think people are just bored and making random threads lol
does it bother you that im posting in this thread or something?:whatever:
oh has anyone here seenscoop with Hugh and Scarlett Johansson? Funny movie.

I don't think "The Fountain" is a film for twists or explanations. It's similar to movies like "Mulholland Drive", by David Lynch, or "Donnie Darko" or even "2001 - A Space Oddity" - when we try to explain too much, they don't look that interesting anymore.
Altough I have my own explanations as to what "The Fountain" is about, it doesn't matter at all. I've seen people come with totally different interpretations that I find fascinating. Maybe that's why I love the film so much.

And I definitely wouldn't consider the last 10 minutes of The Fountain boring, either. It's an odd film, but I really like it.

Famke's new movie, The Ten, looks really funny. Check out the trailer in quicktime over at apple.com/trailers

Haha. I like the end. "...and JESSICA ALBA!"

I don't know...I still like films that make you mesmerized by the end. The Fountain seemed pretty good while I was trying to discover how those stories linked to each other. I have my explanation too, actually I have two, but I was hoping they filled the gaps. Maybe it's a lazy point of view, but I like conclusions. Open ends are good in a linear story, but not in such a puzzle, imo.

yeah, i want to watch it too. It has a great cast, well a cast of alot of known actors such as Paul Rudd, Famke, Alba, Ryder, Liv Sheriber etc
